RIP - Former professional boxer Prichard Colon has died at age 33, eleven years after suffering a brain hemorrhage during a 2015 bout against Terrell Williams. Colon was struck repeatedly to the back of the head, knocked down twice, and lost by disqualification before being hospitalized.

He spent 221 days in a coma and never fully recovered, remaining unable to walk after regaining consciousness. The cause of his death has not been confirmed.

His father announced the passing on social media, expressing gratitude for years of support from the boxing community.

“Good morning, everyone. I regret to inform you of the passing of my son Prichard from this earthly world. He is now in a better place. I did everything I could to fulfill his wish, his dream of bringing him on vacation to Puerto Rico, as he so longed to do, but it wasn't possible. Thank you for so many years of love and prayers.”
