UPDATE: DOJ Challenge to California’s G***k Ban & Handgun Roster

A federal judge has denied the U.S. Department of Justice’s request for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) that would have immediately paused enforcement of California’s G***k Ban (AB 1127).

Importantly, this is not a ruling on the constitutionality of the law. The court’s decision focused on the DOJ’s legal authority to bring the challenge under a particular federal statute—not whether California’s G***k Ban or Handgun Roster violate the Second Amendment.

The lawsuit remains active, and the judge acknowledged there “may be merit” to the DOJ’s constitutional arguments. The court also indicated the DOJ may seek a preliminary injunction as the case moves forward.

This case is far from over. We’ll continue following the litigation and provide updates as they happen.

Legal firearm storage authorized by the California Department Of Justice
with all legal documents required by the California Court System. A safe,
professional, and private environment for the client to surrender any
prohibited items. Our storage facility is clean, and climate controlled.
Affordable pricing up front, with clear storage fees.

We also offer recovery services of fi****ms being stored at local law
enforcement agencies. From 1 to 100, we understand the law and logistics.
We assist the client with legal documentation necessary to the process.
Each agency has different parameters that must be adhered to, and we are
the local experts.

Along with prohibited storage we offer voluntary storage of fi****ms and
ammunition, all at the same affordable pricing.

Service Charges:

Firearm/Ammunition Storage
$100/firearm intake fee
$25/firearm return fee
$30/mo per firearm storage fee
$25 ammunition intake fee
$20/mo per 1000rds storage fee

Intake fees and 1st months storage fees due at intake. Subsequent
monthly storage fees are due on the 10th of every month with a
$15 late charge after.

Firearm Recovery
$110/firearm recovery fee
$50/1000 rds ammunition recovery fee
$75 one time service charge due on all recoveries

All fees on recovery are due up front at time the client turns
in paperwork to us. We will initiate the process and recover
once approved by the agency involved.

The above does NOT include any DROS or transfer fees required by
The State Department of Justice.
