It’s not gonna be comfortable. That’s the whole point.

Building anything will always be harder than maintaining it.

Everyone you see with an impressive body, business, relationship, etc. all went through periods of significant discomfort and sacrifice to achieve it.

You might look at them and say things like:

“Must be nice”
“I wish I had those genetics”
“It just seems so easy for them”

The truth is, it seems easy for them now because they worked hard AF to develop the habits, routines, and mindset that built the foundation for success directly into their identity.

Once it becomes a part of your identity, maintenance is easy.

You become the type of person who loves the way movement, nutritious food, sleep, and staying hydrated make you feel…and that supporting performance and recovery just feel better than treating your body like s**t.

And when you love the way those things make you feel, you become hyper-aware of how poorly you feel without them.

At that point, you don’t even have to think about it anymore. It doesn’t even take willpower. The lifestyle becomes a part of who you are at your core.

That makes it really f*cking easy to stay consistent.

And look - in a lot of ways you’re living proof.

You’re successful AF in every other area of your life because you developed the habits, routines, and mindset to build and maintain that success.

You developed the tools to save time, be more efficient, and more consistent.

Your health and fitness is no different.

So if you’re pushing hard for progress right now and things are uncomfortable - good. It means you’re headed in the right direction.

And if you know progress could be better with better tools and better strategy, you’re right.

Most people think the path to results like this is more cardio and less food…

Step 2: align your actions with that outcome

You can align your actions with the highest version of yourself you want to become and make substantial progress

Or you can continue to align your actions with the current version of yourself you’re wanting to break free from and stay stuck 🤷🏼‍♂️

You have awareness.
You have autonomy to make your own choices.

Which version of yourself will you choose to show up for?

The version you’re becoming?
Or the version you’re wanting to break free from?

It’s not easy, but it’s really that simple.
