Happy birthday America!

Great day at the Cup & Crown hosting our Wolves’ World Cup travelers: Rob, Nick, Pete, Mel, Rachel, and Jamie who just flew in from the England Match in Atlanta, the day before. First of course, beer, BBQ and pool time. And then, a family night out at Lauren’s game to watch her and Austin Rise game win the Lone Star conference for the 3rd season in a row!

It’s fascinating that the Canadians on the ice for the Golden Goal were: Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar. Arguably the top 3 skaters on the planet, at those positions, on the same shift.

Admittedly, Head coach Jon Cooper has a point, that 3 on 3 format is no longer hockey, and is not something to be used in knockout format. I concur.

However… There is no hockey coach in the world that would have passed up exchanging their 3x3 lineup with Jon Cooper
