Our juniors left everything on the glass at Padel House Galicia in Colombia! 8 top young athletes stepped up against the region’s best, proving that USA Padel is defined by an unshakeable fighting spirit.
Highlighting the weekend, the U18 duo of Camilo Velasco Franco and Santi Castro Varela put on a masterclass in resilience. After a tough group stage, they caught fire in the playoffs, rattling off three consecutive clutch victories to finish on top and claim 9th place overall! Alongside fierce battles from our entire roster, our players leave South America with invaluable international experience. Next stop: Mexico in August as the hunt for the San Diego Finals this October heats up!

It is with heavy hearts that USA Padel and the entire community mourn the profound loss of Fernando Alarcon and his daughter, Sophie Alarcon. Their passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the sport they spent their lives building and representing with immense pride.
Fernando was a true titan of American padel—a former U.S. No. 1 for eight years, an entrepreneurial club pioneer, and a co-founder of the U.S. junior national program. Sophie carried that same fire forward as one of our brightest rising stars, representing the US National Junior Team globally with rare talent, heart, and leadership.
Always the first to lead the USA chants, their warmth, passion, and competitive spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of our community. We extend our deepest condolences to their loved ones, teammates, and coaches.

The international season is in full swing! The US Junior National Team is officially touching down in Pereira, Colombia, for stop two of the 2026 Pan American Junior Circuit from July 2–4. Hosted at the premier Padel House Galicia, our top young athletes will face off against elite regional competition to lock down crucial ranking points. With the entire circuit building toward the grand San Diego Finals at TAKTIKA Padel this October, every match in Colombia carries heavy weight. Leading the charge under Team Delegate Paloma Varela, our eight-player lineup is locked in and ready to make a statement on the global stage:

History is being made this October! For the first time ever, USA Padel has officially designated October as National Padel Month, a massive industry-wide celebration marking the sport’s arrival into the American mainstream. This month-long campaign unites three blockbuster initiatives across the country: nationwide Grassroots Learn-to-Play clinics to welcome beginner players, the return of the elite US Open Padel Championships, and the historic launch of the inaugural USA Padel Awards to honor the trail-blazing players, coaches, and clubs fueling this sports revolution.

After more than 30 years of growing padel in the USA we’ve got a new name. Same governing body, same mission, same team. Your rankings, tournaments, and membership don’t change!
We’ve come a long way since the first court back in 1992, and with more than a million Americans playing today, we’re just getting started.
