Fatherhood doesn't always come with applause or recognition. Much of what great fathers do happens quietly—in the early mornings, late nights, tough decisions, and countless small moments that shape the lives of their children.
While their efforts may not always be acknowledged, their impact is immeasurable.

A huge congratulations to Detective John Vargas on passing his Gracie Combatives test with flying colors and earning his Gracie Combatives Belt! 🌊
John is also a detective with the Hutto Police Department and an early adopter of the partnership they have with Gracie Jiu-Jitsu North Austin. From day one, John has approached his training with focus, discipline, and a commitment to mastering the fundamentals of the Gracie Combatives® program. The city of Hutto is fortunate to have officers like this protecting and serving their community.
Now the next chapter begins as John enters Master Cycle and starts the journey from blue belt to black belt. We’re proud of all the hard work he’s put in and excited to watch his jiu-jitsu continue to evolve.

Joy just earned her 1st stripe on her Gracie Combatives belt! 🎉
When she first walked through our doors, she was a little nervous about trying jiu-jitsu. Since then, she's been learning, growing, and thriving in the program every step of the way. It's been awesome to watch her confidence develop as her skills continue to improve.
We're very proud of all the hard work Joy has put in and excited to see what comes next on her jiu-jitsu journey. Keep it up, Joy! 👏🥋
