We are proud to be hosting the Austin Komei Jyuku iaido seminars this year at our dojo taught by headmaster Sekiguchi Komei sensei and assisted by Sonoko sensei flying in from Japan.
Contact Austin Komei Jyuku if you have experience in Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu style iaido and are interested in participating.
The 2026 Austin MJER seminar has been rescheduled to September 13th - September 17th!
Originally scheduled last June, flights were unfortunately cancelled due to typhoons. We look forward to September, thank you for your patience!

The “KARATE” feather flag broke from the last storm so replaced it with this nice looking double sided “JIU-JITSU” feather flag this time. I really like the 2 sided feather flags! I think all our new replacements will also be 2 sided.

We saw the most amazing full rainbow with a double rainbow at the dojo at sunset time Thursday night (~8:20-8:25pm) during our advanced class. Truly a magical moment for myself and our students when the sky turned pink and we spotted the rainbows. The entire ran outside and got photos for the few minutes it lasted. I’ve personally never seen the full rainbow like that, and definitely not with a double rainbow at the same time!
