1/3 of classes offered at a BOW are hunting, shooting, and wildlife-based;
1/3 are boating, paddling, fishing, and water-based;
1/3 are 'other' like birdwatching, camping, cooking, maps, etc.

This young lady attended her first ever Shotgun 101 course a few weeks ago. Her mom sent this today, she is on vacation and wanted to practice the skills she learned. She Can Do It! πŸ’ͺ

Spent last week in Phoenix at the International Hunter Education Conference. Lots of great information to bring back to Becoming an Outdoor Women in Texas. We also had a little fun growing as a team.

For any future generation BOW gal, here is an event for you at Lockhart State Park. Girls Outdoor Workshop.

Come to Lockhart State Park for a fun and FREE outdoor skills workshop exclusively for girls ages 10-18!

Join us on Saturday, May 30 for a morning of archery, fishing, and air rifle! No experience needed and all equipment provided. This workshop is FREE for all participants and their families. We're even going to raffle off some prizes at the end!
