Fundamentals over heavy weight is the only way I will train clients. Ironically the most common exercises (squats/deadlifts/& bench) are the ones I see with the worst form and heavy weight. In my experience people who experience knee, lower back, and elbow pain (bench) with these sorts of exercises typically fall in the category of people lifting beyond their means.

❗️Lat Pulldown Tips ❗️

The 3 biggest mistakes I see during lat pulldowns:

1️⃣ Pulling with the arms instead of initiating with the lats

2️⃣ Leaning back too far, turning the movement into more of a row

3️⃣ Internally rotating the shoulders at the bottom, causing the chest to collapse instead of staying open

Scapular control and awareness are crucial for getting the most out of this exercise. Because of this, I have a series of warm-up drills that I run with all of my clients before every upper-body session.

Simple breakdown on macro-nutrients

Each macronutrient plays a fundamental role in the body. Because of this, I rarely recommend the complete elimination of a macronutrient, whether long-term or, in some cases, even short-term.
