Coalition 4 - August 2026
Coaches Jarrod and Alyssa were back at it last weekend in Houston. Jarrod’s technical game, fight IQ, and power played a major role in him taking home the UD win across all three rounds and added another notch of experience to his resume. Alyssa’s brand of southpaw aggression was on full display for the home crowd. Heavy kicks, clean elbows, and a revised clinch game earned her the UD win in a barn burner of a fight against a well seasoned, technical opponent we love and respect.
Thank you to everyone who made it out to support, tuned in from home, sparred, trained, and pushed these two through camp. Thank you always to the matchmaker for keeping us busy, promoter for the opportunity, officials, volunteers, bartenders who were in the weeds all night, and a big THANK YOU to our opponents and their teams for meeting us in the ring and putting on a show for Texas. We don’t take easy fights. Big respect.
As always, we’ll take our learnings from these bouts, make some adjustments, and continue our pursuit of leveling up for the next one.
Let do it again sometime.

- How long have you been training Muay Thai?
I started June 2025 - so ~14 months now!
- What is your favorite part of training?
There are so many things… but if I could capture it in two parts, it’s the ability to learn something outside of my comfort zone and the drive to become better. Training also translates into different areas of my life that I’m so grateful for - discipline, friendships, and being comfortable with being uncomfortable.
- Favorite fighter?
I enjoy watching Petchboonchu and his clinching techniques. I hope to incorporate more clinching into my arsenal.
I also love watching our OG coaches, but special shoutout to Crystal and Jarrod 🫶 I fan boy over them all the time.
- What’s so special about TOGTBC?
I don’t even know where to begin… TOGTBC has helped shape who I’m becoming in this short amount of time, even at this stage of my adult life. I started MT here, and it’ll always be home. I love the relationships I’ve been able to build, I show up at high and low points but when I train I’m still treated the same. This gym has instilled so much discipline, grit, and perseverance in me and it pushes me to want to be better, and show up for others in the community. I’m a shy guy, but I love you all very much.
- What do you do when you’re not training Muay Thai?
You can catch me playing pickleball, baking bread, cooking, or trying new restaurants with my wife.
- Favorite non Muay Thai Saturday afternoon activity?
No such thing… Saturdays are reserved for Muay Thai.
(Ed: Brian showed up one day and never left and we love him for it. He’s always ready to work hard, learn, and level up. Keep going, Brian, we’re here for it!)

Texas Muay Thai Championships 11 - July 2026
Coaches Alex and Jarrod stepped back in the ring for a couple three round bangers last weekend. Jarrod put on another great display of technical, intelligent, Muay Thai and walked away with the UD win. Alex brought his signature brand of power and menacing tenacity into the ring with him and ended his bout with a third round KO against a taller, game opponent.
Big ups to all OG Messengers that showed up for your fighters. That crowd energy and love goes a long way. Thank you to the matchmaker, promoter, volunteers, and officials for keeping everyone safe.
Let’s do it again sometime.

- How long have you been training Muay Thai?
About 8 months.
- What is your favorite part of training?
I enjoy getting to show up everyday and try to be better than I was the day before. The constant learning keeps me on my toes and evolving.
- Favorite fighter?
I’ve really been enjoying watching Marie "Snow Leopard" Ruumet Marie Ruumet. Her clinch game is beautiful and her volume and technique with knees are something I look up to.
- What’s so special about TOGTBC?
It’s a place where you come and put all your bu****it aside. We suffer together. We grow together. Every single person in that building cares and I believe walks in everyday to be better. The coaching staff is diverse in gender/ethnicity but also styles of teaching and fighting. I feel smarter and stronger every night I leave.
- What do you do when you’re not training Muay Thai?
I’m a Commercial Interior Designer when I’m not here I’m usually with clients working on multifamily developments. I take pride in being able to design and create spaces for people to enjoy.
- Favorite non-Muay Thai art to participate in?
I love ceramics. I like to make little silly monsters. It’s a fun way to work with my hands and be creative in a low stakes environment.
(Ed: Bri is consistent, tenacious, and has a mean cross and rear knee in training. Excited to see where she’s going to go. Keep showing up, Bri! Thank you for the trust!)

Infinity 3 - July 2026, Ann Arbor, Michigan
Coach Alyssa stepped up on 10 days notice to take a co-main event fight against a well regarded, awesome opponent. We had a gameplan going into the fight - no time for new skill development in a full camp, just things that were already in Coach’s toolbox, repped out aggressively over the few days we had to prepare. We agreed to modify that gameplan after the first round if needed, and Coach took the little adjustments we made between rounds and rolled them into her fight aggressively and confidently, securing a close (rightfully so) split decision win.
Thank you, Coach Alyssa, for always seeking out and stepping up to challenges, I’m so happy we were able to make this happen. It was an absolute joy to see you AND your opponent having the best time in the ring together. As it should be.
Big thanks to Infinity Muay Thai Promotions for the hospitality and trusting us to step in on short notice. We were happy to put on a show for the up north fans. Thank you Sarah Catherine London for being an absolute class act and giving us ZERO easy rounds in the ring. I’m a huge fan 🖤.
Let’s do it again sometime™️

Amazing Muay Thai World Festival - Bangkok, Thailand, June/July 2026.
Coach Crystal hopped a plane, flew across the world, stepped in the ring, and came out with Gold in her division. A now two time international champion, Crystal has solidified her position and standing in the amateur divisions - always seeking hard fights, never turning a fight down, fighting up in class… To put it simply, she’s down to fight whoever, whenever, regardless of title, accolades, or belts on the line. That gritty gutter spirit runs deep in TOGTBC, and Coach stands on that ethos in every round, every fight.
Oh, we also ate. A lot. And got to see good friends, train here and there, go to the markets, malls, motorbike taxi all over the place… everything that makes a BKK fight vacation a fight vacation.
Thanks to everyone, pictured and not pictured, here in Austin and in BKK. You know who you are and the list is big. I appreciate you all so much.
Stay tuned. We’re going to do it again sometime.

TBA Classic - June 2026 - Des Moines, IA
Long overdue TBA post here. I’ll spare you the statistics, but tell you this crew of eight athletes threw down and every single one of them represented in the ring for TOGTBC. Lots of growth, experience, fun, love, and renewed joy for our sport came out of it all. Couldn’t be happier with everyone’s performance and teamwork up there. Watching from afar was difficult this year, but Coaches Spencer and Rachel led our crew through it confidently and gave our athletes the experience they earned after a gritty camp.
Congratulations to everyone, thank you everyone for being there for your team, Eli for lending a hand, big thank you to the sponsors and fundraisers, thank you Messengers for keeping the energy up and being smart training partners so everyone got to the ring in good health.
The DIY backing of this community is unmatched. Let’s do it again sometime (next year sounds good).
