Join us Sunday, August 16th, for Every Body Circus, a Plus Size Open House - accessible classes in the circus arts, including ground-based classes like Hooping or Burlesque, as well as intro classes on classic circus apparatus like Trapeze, Sling, and Lyra.
Classes are just 45 minutes and $16, so you can take as many as you’d like!
All classes are intro/beginner level for plus-sized folks age 16+
Hooping: 11:30am
Burlesque (18+ only) 12:30pm
Sling: 1:30pm
FREE Aerial Photo Booth: 1:30-3:30pm
Lyra: 2:30pm
Trapeze: 3:30pm

We're partnering with Kevin Carollo from the Austin Fire Department to host a free Stop the Bleed class at Sky Candy on Saturday, July 11th, from 10am-12pm!
The class is limited to 20 participants; spots are filling fast!

The free Stop the Bleed class is a free class taught by local firefighters from AFD and paramedics from ATCEMS and includes hands on demonstrations and training with bleeding emergencies with direct pressure, tourniquet application, and wound packing.
AFD/ATCEMS Stop the Bleed coalition started as a response to the Club Q Sh*oting in Colorado Springs in November 2022. Q***r firefighters and paramedics created an idea to empower the LGBTQ+ community by putting on free training with the first class happening at The Little Gay Shop in Jan 2024. The program has grown to have put on over 40 classes for nearly 1000 students, including the City Council, COA facilities, the entertainment district, and other LGBTQ+ communities.

In this workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of Cyr wheel manipulation and movement with the wheel. Students will explore the beginning of waltz and center spin. With guidance through the PAT curriculum, students will gain the groundwork for continuing and elevating their Cyr journey.

Aerial FloorPlay - Lyra & Dance Trapeze w/ Dari Blythe
Slinky, supported, and sometimes sensual, you are invited to explore mobility movement patterns from floor to air as we incorporate a low-hanging aerial apparatus. Gentle, fun, flowy, and playful cues take the lead through this session.

Come fly with the danger noodles, aka aerial chains, with THE Allisin Chainz! In this workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals required for aerial chain flow. We will be working with double-looped chains. Students will learn various entrances and explore different shapes within the chains with safe exits and transitions.
