Hunter Education Class Offered
An education program for hunters of all ages is scheduled for a three-day session at the Aurora Fire Department, 906 13th Street.
Instructor Nate Friesen will cover a variety of topics such as safe gun handling, conservation, first aid, fence crossing techniques, hunting laws and much more. Successful completion of a Firearm Hunter Education course is required for all Nebraska hunters ages 12 through 29 who hunt any species with a firearm.
Pre-registration for the course is required and class size is limited. Participants must be at least 11years old to enroll and they must attend all three sessions which are scheduled for September 8 and 10 from 6:00-9:15p.m. and September 12th from 9:00a.m to 12:00p.m. Study materials will be provided and there is no cost for this class.

A parental release form must be filed out and signed when the student arrives for class their first day. Parents are welcome to sit with their student if they wish to. Please bring a pencil or pen to write with.
