🐴 RIDER SPOTLIGHT: MEET CHARLOTTE! 🐴

This week’s Rider Spotlight is Charlotte, who has been riding at Longview for about one year!

💕 How it all started:
Charlotte has always liked horses, so she decided to give riding a try by attending one of our summer camps. She had so much fun that she kept riding—and a year later, she’s still going strong!

🐎 Favorite Longview horse:
How can she possibly choose just one?! Charlotte says she likes them all because they’re all fun to ride!

❤️ Favorite thing about the barn:
One of Charlotte’s favorite parts of coming to the barn is getting to see her instructor! We love the special relationships our riders build with the people who help them learn and grow.

⭐ Proudest accomplishment:
Getting to ride in an English saddle! Every new skill is another exciting step forward.

🌟 Big goal:
Charlotte hopes that someday she can become a helper at the barn! We think that’s a pretty great goal—learning to ride is only one part of being a horse person, and there is always so much to learn at the barn.

We love watching Charlotte’s confidence and love for horses continue to grow. Keep learning, riding, and having fun, Charlotte! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

MEET THE LONGVIEW STAFF: LISA
Office Manager

It’s time for another introduction! Meet Lisa, the person behind the screen keeping our lesson program organized, answering your emails, and helping keep our social media going!

👋 Tell us a little about yourself and what you do at Longview!
Hi! My name is Lisa, and I’m the Office Manager at Longview Stables. I’m the person behind the screen coordinating our lesson program and social media. If you’ve emailed us about lessons, scheduling, or questions, chances are you’ve talked to me!

I’m married to Chad, and we have two kids—Matt, who is 16 and plays soccer, and Lindsey, who is 12 and rides here at Longview. If you’ve been out to the barn for a lesson, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Lindsey running around and helping out!

🐎 How did you first get involved with horses?
I’ve always loved horses, even when I was young. I never took formal riding lessons, but I’ve always enjoyed the occasional trail ride and spending time at the barn.

Lindsey is definitely the rider in our family! She shows in Performance in "Park" with our boy, William (Undulata’s Crackin Up). Watching her grow up with horses has made them an even bigger part of my life.

❤️ Do you have a favorite horse?
This is such a hard question!

Ace will forever hold an incredibly special place in my heart. He taught both Lindsey and me so much about horses, showing, and just how much personality these animals have. He was Lindsey’s heart horse and will never be forgotten.

My current favorite is probably William. He has been such a great addition to our family and has taken Lindsey’s riding to a whole new level. He is quite the character, and watching the bond between him and Lindsey is incredibly special.

🏡 What is your favorite thing about being part of the Longview family?
The friendships I’ve made! But probably my very favorite part is knowing that my daughter gets to grow up surrounded by some amazing horsewomen who are role models, teachers, mentors, and friends. I’m so grateful she gets to learn from them—not just about horses and riding, but about life too.

✨ What’s something people might not know about you?
Longview isn’t actually my “day job!”

I’m also an Athletic Trainer with UCHealth, where I help provide oversight for the Cherry Creek School District Athletic Training Partnership in addition to working at one of the high schools. I’m also currently the Vice President of the Colorado Athletic Trainers’ Association!

So whether I’m at a high school, working behind my computer, cheering on Lindsey at a horse show, being a soccer mom or hanging out at the barn—you can usually find me somewhere in the middle of organized chaos! 😂

We’re so excited to introduce you to the people who help make Longview such a special place. Be sure to say hi to Lisa the next time you see her around the barn! 🐴❤️

🐴 **RIDER SPOTLIGHT: MEET NORA!** 🐴

We love watching our riders learn, grow, and gain confidence in the saddle, and today we’re excited to introduce you to **Nora!**

Nora has been riding at Longview for about 4 months. Her interest in riding started after going on a trail ride with a friend and discovering just how much fun horses could be!

💕 **Favorite Longview horse:** Fancy
Nora loves riding Fancy—especially because "Fancy can go fast!"

🐎 **Favorite part of riding:**
Trotting and, you guessed it…"going fast!"

⭐ **Proudest riding accomplishment:**
Getting "off the lead" and being able to ride on her own!
-That growing independence and confidence is such an exciting milestone!

🏇 **Big riding goal:**
Someday, Nora wants to ride a horse at a "full gallop!"

We’re so excited to watch Nora continue building her skills and confidence. Keep up the great work, Nora!
