I am still smiling after our team (Bob Kendrick, John Graf, James E. Brunson, Keith Wood, Paul Julión, Sherman Jenkins, Jason Hansen, Anissa M. Lampley) made the Inaugural Negro Leagues Blackball Symposium happen on September 4-5th in Kansas City, MO. I was proud to have Sherman Jenkins present the history of my playing days with the Kansas City Monarchs. This event is in honor of our friend, mentor, renowned historian and scholar Larry Lester. Hope to see others at the 2027 Larry Lester Negro Leagues Blackball Symposium, Labor Day weekend in Kansas City, MO. We are honoring Larry because we must honor him….As Larry says: “See You At The Top!”
