We are so, SO excited to announce that dancing at Sturdy Shelter is BACK, Baby! On Friday, October 2, the dance floor will officially be OPEN, so SAVE THE DATE! We are also thrilled that the Thomas Gunther Trio with Deborah on vocals will be joining us! If you haven't heard them yet, you are in for a musical treat! Sunny Side Swing (that's us!) will be teaching a beginner friendly lesson at 6:15. At 7:00, the dance floor will be open, and we guarantee it will be hopping all night with this band! Sturdy Shelter Brewing is located at 10 S. Shumway Avenue in downtown Batavia, IL 60510. Also...wait for it...admission is FREE! You have no reason to miss this great event!

Summer 2026 is in full swing (see what we did there?), and we’re excited to keep dancing with you!

June is finally here, and we're ready to welcome all the fun and energy of summer! We hope you'll join us on the dance floor as we celebrate the season together. We have our weekly classes every Monday and our next social dance at Ballydoyle will be on Wednesday, June 17.

We're especially excited to announce that we'll be providing dance instruction and music, featuring DJ Ryan, at Joliet's brand-new Dancing in the Square event! This Wednesday, we’re excited to support TriCity Family Services by donating a large portion of our cover charge to this incredible organization. We’ll also have a donation basket available for anyone who would like to contribute even more to this meaningful cause.
