Dragon Gate Family,

What we practice is more than something we do a few hours each week—it’s an art, a tradition, and a school that we are all part of building.

I’d like to encourage everyone to take a look at the Dragon Gate apparel available through our school website. Having school shirts and uniforms that fit well and that you’re proud to wear—both in class and out in the community—is one small way we can show our pride in what we do and support the continued growth of our school.

Every one of us represents Dragon Gate. When you wear our name outside the school, you become an ambassador for our art and our Kung Fu family. You help people see who we are, start conversations, and introduce others to something that means a great deal to all of us.

A strong school isn’t built by one instructor or one person. It’s built by students and families who believe in what we are doing and want to see it continue to grow and succeed.

I talk to a lot of adults who want to move around and be active, but haven't found the right thing to keep them interested.

Trading in a traditional art is a great way to hit a lot of your goals. It doesn't have to be hyper dynamic.

I work out in the gym lifting heavy a few times a week . But I'll tell you,
Practicing my form is one of my favorite ways to get a workout in.

I'm entirely alone with the movement, focused on my breathing, my heart rate increases, my body heats up, I'm working my flexibility, maintaonong strength in my lower body. Increased mobility in my spine and shoulders.

The coordination, balance and proprioception gained from training traditional form it's very similar to classical dance, gymnastics.
