🎣🇺🇸 LABOR DAY WEEKEND FISHING REPORT: CRYSTAL COAST EDITION

🐟 Flounder are around inshore and near structure.
🔴 Red drum are active inshore with bigger drum showing in the sounds and rivers.
🎣 Spanish & blues are still hanging around the beaches, inlet and nearshore.
🐑 Sheepshead are around bridges, pilings and structure.
🏖️ Surf & pier: Sea mullet, croaker, blues and other bottom fish.
🚤 Offshore: Wahoo, scattered mahi and a good mixed bottom bite.

FLOUNDER REMINDER:
📅 Sept. 1–14
🐟 1 per person/day
📏 15” minimum
📱 Keep one? Report it to NC DMF after your trip.

🎣🐟 TODAY’S THE DAY - FLOUNDER SEASON IS UPON US!

September 1 means it’s officially time to go fish a flatty! 🙌

Quick 2026 reminder before you hit the water:

🐟 1 flounder per person, per day (FAMILY BONDING TIME YALL! LOAD UP THEM KIDS!) 🫣😂
📏 15-inch minimum
📅 Season: September 1–14
📱 KEEP ONE? REPORT IT!

NC now requires recreational anglers to report any flounder they keep after their fishing trip is complete.

🍎 iPhone users: Search “NC DMF” in the Apple App Store and you can report your harvest right through the app.

🌐 You can also report through NC DMF’s online Mandatory Harvest Reporting form.

And save your confirmation number after you report - that’s what you can show Marine Patrol to verify your harvest was reported.

Now the important question…
