Breakdown? Breakthrough?

While challenges alone do not guarantee growth, breakthroughs in our lives rarely happen without disruptions. Breakdown can expose old patterns, beliefs, and defenses that keep us stuck, creating the opportunity for something new to emerge.

"Radical Grace" points out that both the struggle and the transformation are part of the whole of life and living, and that neither should be overlooked. Rather than viewing breakdown as something to avoid, it can be understood as part of the process that makes breakthrough possible.

How might a current challenge look different if it were viewed not simply as a setback, but as an invitation into a deeper experience of growth, development and transformation?

Grace — Seeing True Grace is often misunderstood. It is not limited to pleasant moments or favorable outcomes. Rather, it is the mysterious presence woven through all of creation - through every aspect of life and living - including what we are quick to label as dark, wrong, or even evil

Spirituality is like echolocation. We cannot know the source of our calling, or even the nature or character of the calling. Yet we can follow the feeling of it. The question for each of us is whether to trust and follow the calling.

While I’d love to provide some clear formula/approach/technique, my experience suggests there is no such cookie-cutter to be found where the Soul’s work unfolds...

There’s a strange irony in how hard we work to improve ourselves, only to deepen our all too human fatigue. Striving becomes its own burden. Yet in moments of exhaustion, when the effort finally gives way, something softer can enter. Call this Grace, not as success, but as self-propulsion falling short.

Can We Love Deeply Enough to Let Go?

Motherhood, as reflected here, is about participation in something far greater than ourselves. It gently challenges the instinct to hold tightly, inviting us instead into the sacred work of releasing, trusting, and allowing. In the end, the truest expression of motherhood may be found not in shaping outcomes, but in bearing witness with love, humility, and awe.

How to Tell if a Problem is Real or Imagined — Seeing True While there may be an objective reality, all we can see is our interpretation of reality. When we can remember we may be misinterpreting, the world and its people no longer present the problems we imagined.
