Swinging your elbows forward and shrugging your shoulders to generate momentum completely steals tension from your biceps. When your upper body collapses forward during a dumbbell curl, your front delts and upper traps take over the movement.

THE PREACHER CURL HACK🦾
Do preacher curls with a rope attachment to target the brachialis and build bigger arms. Switching to a cable rope attachment allows your hands and wrists to move naturally in a neutral position as you curl toward your face. The preacher pad keeps your upper arms completely locked in place to eliminate shoulder momentum, while the rope lets you flare your hands apart at the top for a brutal squeeze.

MASTER THE MACHINE SHOULDER PRESS 🛡️
Most people use the shoulder press machine for only one movement. However, small changes in your body position allow you to target every part of the shoulder. If you want full, rounded shoulders, you must hit all three heads of the deltoid.
Lateral Deltoids (Side Delts): Sit forward with your elbows out to the side. This variation builds width and creates a powerful V-taper look.
Anterior Deltoids (Front Delts): Keep your elbows tucked in front of you. This movement focuses on the front of the shoulder and increases your overall pushing strength.
Posterior Deltoids (Rear Delts): Face the machine instead of sitting forward. This reverse position targets the back of the shoulder, which is the most neglected area for most lifters.

If you want those 3D shoulders, you have to stop performing the face pull like a row. Pulling with low elbows shifts the load to your lats and traps, leaving your rear delts flat.
STOP USING YOUR SHOULDERS TO PUSH
Flaring your elbows out and shrugging your shoulders forward completely ruins triceps isolation. When you let your upper body cave in during a rope pushdown, your chest and front delts take over the movement.
Fix your alignment by pinning your shoulders down, tucking your elbows tight to your ribs, and hinging slightly forward at your hips. Lock your upper arm completely in place so only your forearms move to execute the extension.
