Okay, real talk for a second. Disappoint as many people as it takes to stop disappointing yourself. ⚡
I know how that sounds. But think about how many yeses you've said when you meant no, just to keep the peace. How many times your own plans got pushed to next month because someone else needed something first. Your mind keeps count of that, even when you don't.
Here's the thing nobody tells you. You're not actually avoiding disappointment when you do that. You're just moving it, from them to you, and you're the one stuck carrying it long after they've moved on.
Some people are going to be upset when you finally start choosing yourself. That's okay. Their disappointment fades. Yours, the kind that stacks up over years of putting yourself last, doesn't.
So pick the disappointment you can actually live with.

MEN!! If you are in a relationship that doesn't present a safe space for you to be vulnerable from time to time, then that relationship is not healthy. Men have feelings too! You shouldn't have to suppress them to fit into an image!

LADIES!! YOU WERE CREATED TO BE A HELPMEET FOR A HUSBAND, NOT A PUNCHING BAG!

Did ya'll know that your heart contains 60x the electrical amplitude of your brain? & that this amount of amplitude can be felt 2-3 feet outside of the body? This is why we must guard our hearts! We MUST be healed of pain & trauma before pursuing a relationship. If your heart is familiar with these experiences, it will attract someone carrying the same experiences, regardless if your brain is telling you to choose the opposite. The heart will overrule the brain. Healing is necessary for both to be in alignment.

15 days from tomorrow.
Eugene and I will be speaking at the WE WIN Symposium in Atlanta on how to actually WIN in marriage—not by avoiding adversity, but by winning through it.
In our 10-year second-chance marriage, we've navigated:
→ The loss of a child
→ Financial crisis
→ Chronic illness
→ Everything that tests whether covenant is real or just a word
We're still here. Not just surviving—genuinely thriving.
On March 15th, we're sharing the Meta Marriage® framework and The Love Code© that kept us connected when easier options existed.
This isn't theory. It's what actually worked.
📍 Sunday, March 15th | 1:30-6:00 PM
📍 The Dogwood Room, Smyrna, GA
If you're in Atlanta or know someone who needs this, register now:

Honoring the Life and Legacy of Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson Sr. (1941–2026)
For Jesse
Today we lost a friend.
Not all of us knew him, but he knew us—every one of us. He saw us before we saw ourselves. He believed in an America that hadn’t yet learned to believe in itself.
Jesse walked with kings and never lost the common touch. He marched with Martin, stood in the shadow of that dream, and when the dreamer fell, he picked up the torch and carried it forward—not for glory, but for us.
He offered this nation a gift.
A vision of a rainbow 🌈 stretched across a stormy sky. A coalition of the forgotten, the dismissed, the overlooked. He said, come as you are—Black and white, brown and every shade between. Rich and poor. City and country. Come as you are, and let us build something together.
Not everyone received his offering. Some turned away. Some didn’t understand. Some weren’t ready.
But he kept offering anyway.
That was Jesse. That was always Jesse.
He stood at that podium in 1988, voice rising like a hymn, and told a divided nation to Keep Hope Alive. Not as a slogan. As a prayer. As a promise. As a lifeline thrown to anyone brave enough to grab hold.
Hope, he taught us, is not optimism for the naive. It is courage for the weary. It is the stubborn refusal to accept that this is all we can be.
He gave us that. Even when we didn’t deserve it. Even when we didn’t want it. He kept giving.
And now he rests.
The seat beside us feels emptier today. The road ahead feels longer. But somewhere in the distance, if we listen closely, we can still hear him—
Keep hope alive.
Keep hope alive.
Keep hope alive.
We will, Jesse. We will try.
With love and gratitude,
-Meta Marriage
