I immediately went to Europe to study with Vidal Sassoon in Germany, Toni and Guy in London and Jacque Dessange in Paris. I was headed back to New York when in a strange twist of fate, my car broke down in Atlanta and well, the rest is history. I began working at Van Michaels, and quickly became an educational director for the cutting department also working nationally with AVEDA. In 1996 I went back to the U.K. and Paris and realized that I had a true passion for hair color and “styling”. I enjoy creating a look for some one from start to finish. Upon returning I realized there was no flexibility or relaxation in my environment and simply had to create my own. Thus, was born Studio Oliver in fall of 1997. I began freelancing with Bumble and Bumble in New York as often as possible. The House of Bumble was then and still is the most creative force in the styling world. They cultivate talent and allow it to grow. The product line is of course just one of the beneficial tools that have changed the salon culture as well as giving clients a product that is easy to use. They asked me to become the regional educator for the east coast, which I gladly accepted. Over the years I’ve had the fortune of being a student, teacher, Platform Artist and editorial stylist from Coast to Coast in the U.S. most of East and Western Europe. In 1999 I began working with the artist PINK that led to an affiliation with The Grammy’s. Through them and many other organizations I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most notable and talented artist and Producers in the music industry. However My diversity has also allowed me the opportunity to work with political figures like Sarah Ferguson (Duchess of York) Barbara Bush (former fist lady) as well as many influential Judges and attorneys. I’ve made appearances on television on shows like Ms. Universe pageant for TNT and Ambush makeover for FOX and well as styling hair for CNN correspondences and film Producers. At the end of the day all of my experience, education & training have been in the pursuit of mastering my craft to serve YOU, my client. I’m truly committed to making you feel and look better than you ever have walking out of a salon and the knowledge of how to re-create it at home. Some press: Just to name a few
