π Welcome, August.
There's a majesty to you that other months only imitate.
You don't rush in β you arrive. Gold-tipped and sun-warmed, carrying the weight of a summer well-lived and the quiet authority of a season about to turn.
August, you are the month of harvest before harvest β the pause between what was planted and what is about to be gathered. You ask us to stand a little taller, root a little deeper, and trust that everything sown in silence is still growing.
So we welcome you the way we'd welcome royalty: with reverence, not resistance.
This month, we walk with purpose. We honor the process. We remember that our becoming has never needed to be loud to be legitimate.
Here's to a month that commands respect β because we do too. πΎβ¨

The Treasure Was in Trash
Yesterday I told you about a prayer that ended with just three words: βGod, show me." Here's what happened next.
As I snuggled in for the night, the sky opened up. Rain showers turned into a full downpour β wind blowing, thunder rolling, lightning flashing. I got up and opened the blinds just to watch God's fireworks light up the night.
And that's when it happened.
A familiar scent visited my nostrils. Garbage. But it had been hours since I'd touched the trash β why was I smelling it now?
I got up, turned on a light, and started walking toward the smell. It faded. Disappeared.
Hmm. *Are You speaking, Lord?*
I let it go and fell back asleep.
I woke up around 6am. "Good morning, Jesus!" I said, beginning my thanksgiving for a brand new day. And right there, in the middle of my gratitude β that same subtle whiff of garbage visited again.
I heard You that time, Lord.
So I suited up. Gloves. Mask. A transfer bag. A search stick. I was going in.
There were two trash bags in the can. I picked the less offensive one first β went through it piece by piece, item by item. Nothing.
Then there was the other one. Old food. Flies. Everything in me did not want to touch that bag.
But I picked it up anyway. Held my breath. Started transferring the decomposed mess from one bag to the other, piece by piece, asking, "God, why? Why am I back in this stinky trash again?"
Just as I was ready to give up β
There it was.
Sitting right there. Not wrapped in a napkin. Not buried in a bag. Not covered by decomposition. Untouched. Whole. Exactly as I'd left it.
How was that even possible? Why didn't I see it the first time?
Here's what I know now: sometimes God doesn't lead us around the mess β He leads us straight through it, because that's exactly where the treasure is waiting.
I didn't want to touch that bag. I almost didn't. But the very thing I wanted to avoid was standing between me and what I'd been praying for.
So if you're in a season right now where the search has gotten uncomfortable, unpleasant, even a little disgusting β don't stop before the treasure. Sometimes obedience smells like garbage before it looks like breakthrough.
He led me by scent, in the middle of a storm, to something I thought was gone for good.
God, show me turned into God, showed me.
π¬ Has God ever led you through something uncomfortable to get you to something you needed? Tell me below β I want to hear it.

God, Show Me!
Testimony Sunday ππ½
This past weekend, I had plans. Simple ones β hit the streets for a little retail therapy to finish outfitting my desk space. I was ready.
Until I wasn't.
I realized I had lost something special. Something I needed. Not just wanted β needed.
I searched my house. My car. Every drawer, every closet, under every cushion. I asked the people in my space if they'd seen it. Nothing.
And here's what surprised me most: it wasn't really about the item being lost. It was the realization that I couldn't replace it before I needed it. That's what broke me open. That's what brought the tears.
So I prayed. I got quiet with God and asked Him to show me.
Then I kept looking anyway β the logical places, the illogical places. I cleaned out my fridge in the process (don't ask about the garbage β yuck π
). Still nothing.
By the time I laid my head down that night, I didn't have another search plan left in me. I didn't have another argument to make. All I had was this:
βGod, show me."
Three words. No more striving. Just surrender.
Sometimes faith isn't the dramatic moment β it's the exhausted whisper at the end of a long day, when you've done everything you know how to do and there's nothing left but trust.
I'll tell you what happened next another time. But for now, sit with this part of the story β because some of you are in your own "God, show me" season right now. Searching. Tired. Still believing anyway.
π¬ Have you ever had a moment where you had to stop striving and just say "God, show me"? Tell me about it below.

Sunday Blessings ππ½
Before the week gets loud, let's get still for a moment.
Believe β in what God has placed in you, even the parts you haven't fully seen yet.
Set your goals β not the ones the world hands you, but the ones that align with who you're becoming.
Make a plan β because a vision without a plan is just a wish. Write it down. Break it into steps. Walk it out in faith.
And when you accomplish something β celebrate it. All of it. The promotion and the load of laundry you finally caught up on. The big goal and the day you simply chose peace over panic. Great or small, it counts. It's growth.
This is your reminder today: you don't have to do it all at once. You just have to believe, plan, move β and celebrate yourself along the way.
Happy Sunday. Let's go be great this week. π

π‘οΈ Be a Thermostat, Not a Thermometer π‘οΈ
A thermometer simply reacts to the environment. It tells you how hot, cold, tense, or negative things have become.
A thermostat does something differentβit changes the atmosphere.
Be the person who brings peace into chaos.
Bring hope into discouragement.
Bring kindness into conflict.
Bring light into dark places.
Don't allow your surroundings to dictate your attitude, your joy, or your purpose. Instead, walk into every room with the power to shift the environment for the better.
Today, choose to be the thermostat.
Set the tone.
Lead with love.
Speak life.
Change the atmosphere.
β¨ The world doesn't need more people reacting to the darkness. It needs more people willing to become the light.

Happy Sabbath Warriors!

**Just B | Celebrate the New Day** π
Good morning, beautiful souls.
Today may look like yesterday.
The same alarm.
The same responsibilities.
The same people.
The same road.
But don't let familiarity fool you.
**This day is new.**
New mercies.
New grace.
New opportunities.
New lessons.
New possibilities.
New reasons to believe again.
When we receive something new, we tend to treat it with care. We protect it, appreciate it, and handle it with gratitude. So why not treat this new day the same way?
β¨ Open it with expectancy.
β¨ Handle it with intention.
β¨ Fill it with kindness.
β¨ Protect your peace within it.
β¨ Use it wisely, because you'll never get this particular day back again.
Yesterday's mistakes don't own today.
Yesterday's disappointments don't define today.
Yesterday's fears don't belong here.
This day has never existed before and will never exist again.
So celebrate it.
Smile a little wider.
Love a little deeper.
Forgive a little quicker.
Dream a little bigger.
And thank God for the gift of another beginning.
Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!
Loving you with all of me. Just B

πΏ Mindful Monday: Peace Begins in the Mind
You don't have to carry every thought, every worry, or every "what if."
Peace begins when we become intentional about what we allow to occupy our minds.
Today, replace pressure with presence.
Replace fear with faith.
Replace overthinking with gratitude.
Not every problem requires an immediate solution. Sometimes the answer is simply to pause, breathe, pray, and trust.
β¨ Affirmation: I will not sacrifice my peace trying to control things that belong to God.
π "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You." β Isaiah 26:3
Loving you with all of me, Just Bπ

Happy Sabbath ποΈ
We all need a sabbatical from something...
Sometimes it's from the noise.
Sometimes it's from the pressure.
Sometimes it's from the endless expectations.
And yes... sometimes it's even from someone. ππ
Take it.
Give yourself permission to pause without guilt.
To rest without apology.
To step away long enough to remember who you are when you're not busy being everything to everyone else.
A reset is not selfish.
A recharge is not weakness.
It's necessary.
Do it for you.
Do it for your peace.
Do it for the people you're assigned to love, lead, serve, and support.
You cannot pour from an empty vessel, and you were never intended to run on empty.
Today, breathe deeply.
Rest intentionally.
Reconnect spiritually.
Refill completely.
The work will be there tomorrow.
Today, choose restoration.
π Loving you with all of me, Just B

ππ½ Soulful Sunday β Peace Lives Here
After everything youβve enduredβ¦
the disappointments,
the losses,
the unanswered prayers,
the pressureβ¦
Peace still found you.
Not because life became perfect, but because God remained faithful.
May this week remind you that peace is not the absence of storms. It is the presence of God within them.
π Scripture
βPeace I leave with you; my peace I give you.β β John 14:27
π Reflection
What would change if I truly believed peace belongs to me too?
β¨ Affirmation
I choose peace over pressure every single time.
Loving you with all of me. Just B π

πΏ Welcome June πΏ
A recent birthday reminded me of something importantβ¦
Reflection is necessary.
Rest is necessary.
Prioritizing yourself is necessary.
For so long, many of us have poured endlessly into others while silently running on empty ourselves. But Iβm learning in deeper ways that I cannot give what I do not have.
I must take care of myself before I can properly care for others.
I must love myself before I can fully love others.
I must extend grace to myself too.
June feels like an invitation to slow down, reassess, heal, and refill the spaces that life, grief, responsibility, and pressure have drained.
This month, Iβm choosing:
π± Peace over pressure
π± Presence over performance
π± Healing over hiding
π± Self-care without guilt
May this month meet you gently.
May you remember that you matter too.
Loving you with all of me, Just B π
