Happy 250th Birthday, America!

As we celebrate this historic Independence Day, let's make safety part of the celebration. Fireworks can create unforgettable memories—but they can also cause serious injuries when not used properly. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), thousands of people are injured by fireworks each year, with burns to the hands, fingers, face, and ears among the most common injuries.

For important safety tips visit https://www.cpsc.gov/Safety-Education/Safety-Education-Centers/Fireworks

Let's honor America's 250th birthday with celebrations that are fun, memorable, and safe for everyone.

🎇 Stay safe. Celebrate responsibly. Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

Workers Memorial Day is April 28. As a way to stand and honor the memory of those lost this last year to a workplace incident or illness, OSHA and the OSHA Training Institute Education Centers are hosting free virtual training sessions April 20-22 that anyone can attend. The sessions will be run by SMEs from several OTIECs and you can register to attend all or one of the events. I encourage you, your leadership, or even your team to consider pausing for an hour to join us on one of these days - to stand together and learn and share, and hopefully prevent future pain and loss. I'll put the links for each days registration in the first comment to this post, but we also have them on our website (scroll to the OSHA Partner Events section) https://oshainfo.gatech.edu/safety-and-health-training-events/safety-and-health-webinars-and-no-cost-training/
