I asked over on Reddit a while back what would make the best kettlebell clean tutorial. Not here, because my personal Facebook account got deleted, so Reddit is where that conversation happened. I used what came back and built the video around it.
It's 11 minutes. I think I went too long again. And this is about 20% of what I could say about this one variation of the clean, not the clean in general.
Maybe that's not a problem. People asked for the detail nobody covers and that takes time. A 4 minute version would just be the same video that's already out there. But I can't judge my own stuff, so I'm asking.
Some other stuff around it.
First video in nearly 6 months. I enjoyed making it. I felt terrible after. My wife had a go at me about it and she was right.
A few cleans. Not a session. A few cleans, and it felt like I was going to die. Over 20 years of doing this and I still don't listen to my body the way I should.
Might as well say the rest. My aortic valve is calcified, severe stenosis. Coronary angiography on the 15th. It was booked for the 13th, I moved it after reading about the chance of a heart attack during it. I've never been superstitious before.
The cardiologist said I'm otherwise in perfect health, which is a strange thing to hear. I never expected to spend my 50s dealing with this. I had other plans.
So that's why it took 6 months.
Tell me what you think of it. Delivery, pacing, content. If you disagree with anything I teach in it, say so and say why, and let's talk it through properly based on facts and common sense. I'd rather be corrected than keep doing something wrong.
And specifically, was 11 minutes too long, or is it the right length in the wrong order? Two different problems and I don't know which one I've got.
PS. Don't let the heart stuff tone down your criticism or your trolling. I'd love an honest debate about any of what I believe are facts. What I'd love even more is if you bring facts that disprove them.
