🪓 Playing poor baseball right now is a worst-case scenario. Firing Tim Hyers might feel like a quick fix, but the real issue is mental. This roster is far too talented for the entire lineup to go cold at once instead of picking each other up. When the pressure hits, they simply get in their own head—a trend that’s plagued them in October since 2021.
This team was constructed with a single focus: hit home runs. But relying solely on a “swing hard and pray” philosophy isn’t cutting it anymore, and this offseason demands a real pivot toward high-contact hitters who put the ball in play. At this stage, all you can do is hope they find a spark and get hot at the right time. If they can somehow catch fire down the stretch, it changes everything.
