Thereās this idea floating around that meal planning and ADHD/ADD donāt mix. While that may be true for some people, it definitely doesnāt mean everyone will have the same experience.
For me, meal planning didnāt make life more restrictive. It made life simpler.
Instead of constantly deciding what to eat, forgetting meals, impulse ordering takeout, or standing in front of the fridge hoping inspiration would strike, I created a system that removed those decisions altogether.
The biggest mistake I see is treating meal planning like it has to be perfect. It doesnāt.
A few go to breakfasts. A couple lunches. A few dinners. Easy snacks. Ingredients prepped ahead of time.
Thatās enough.
If you have ADD or ADHD, remember that thereās no one-size-fits-all strategy. What matters is finding systems that reduce stress, not add to it.
Iād love to know: Has meal planning helped you, or does it make things harder?
I heard it over and over.
That Iād always be out of shape.
That Iād never be competitive.
That Iād eventually have to āgo backā if I wanted to build an impressive physique.
I learned how to train with intention. I learned how to fuel my body with enough calories and enough protein. I stopped chasing shortcuts and started trusting consistency.
Years later, Iāve built more muscle than I ever thought was possible on a completely plant based diet.
Not because cutting out animals products is magic.
Because the fundamentals of building muscle donāt change. Progressive overload. Adequate protein. Enough food. Recovery. Patience. Consistency.
Being vegan isnāt whatās holding most people back. Lack of a solid plan is.
If youāve been told you canāt build muscle on a plant based diet, let this be your reminder that you donāt have to accept someone elseās limitations as your own.
Iām living proof that you can build strength, transform your physique, and even step on a bodybuilding stage without compromising your values.

For most of us, eating animals isnāt a matter of survival. Itās a matter of habit, culture, convenience, or preference.
When we have access to foods that can nourish our bodies, support our health, build muscle, and reduce unnecessary suffering, itās worth asking ourselves a simple question:
If we donāt have to cause harm, why would we?
Every meal is an opportunity to align your actions with your values.
š If this resonates with you, share it with someone whoās been thinking about eating more plant based.
