Stretch was đĽ last night!
If you missed our Stretch & Conditioning class Friday night, you missed a GOOD one!
We had dancers who came in barely able to get into their splits and, by the end of class, were holding heel stretches they didnât even know they could do!
If you want to see quicker improvement in your dancer, Stretch & Conditioning is one of the best classes you can add. We work on:
⢠Flexibility and splits
⢠Extensions and prettier lines
⢠Strength to actually execute technique
⢠Heel stretches, balance and control
⢠Proper turnout
⢠Pointed feet and ankles
⢠Conditioning and overall body awareness
And the best part? Everyone works at THEIR level. The girls get so excited when they start reaching those little goals â getting a little farther in a split, holding an extension longer, improving their balance â and those small wins add up FAST!
HOMESCHOOL DANCERS â we have Stretch & Conditioning on Wednesdays at 11:00 AM!
We are also looking at opening an EVENING Stretch & Conditioning class! If your dancer would be interested, comment below so we can see how much interest we have.

A Little Encouragement for Our Newest Dance Families
Starting dance for the very first time is a BIG experience for a little one! Whether your child is beginning in our Mommy & Me class or taking their first independent preschool class, we want parents to know that it is completely normal for some children to need time to adjust.
Some dancers walk right in on day one, while others may cry, feel unsure, or simply sit and observe for the first few classes. All of those reactions are okay. We have had dancers who needed several weeksâand occasionally even a couple of monthsâto become completely comfortable, only to eventually become the children who can't wait for dance day!
There are a few things parents can do to make the transition easier. Talk positively about dance before class and explain what will happen. Let them know they'll have fun with their teacher and friends, and praise them afterward for participating, trying, or simply being brave enough to go into the classroom.
For our independent preschool classes, we have found that a consistent separation routine works best. If your child becomes very upset during class, their teacher can bring them out to you for comfort. Once they are calm, we encourage you to send them back in to try again. We ask that parents not remain inside the classroom when their child is upset. While it can be difficult to hear your little one cry, having a parent stay in the room can make separation harder and can also disrupt the experience for the other dancers and their teacher.
Most importantly, please don't become discouraged after one or two difficult classes. Learning to separate from a parent, trust a new teacher, follow a class routine, and participate with other children is a processâand those are valuable skills all by themselves.
Sometimes the biggest accomplishment during those first few weeks isn't learning a dance step. It's simply walking through the studio door, staying in class, watching, and trying again next week.
Give them time. Celebrate the little victories. Before you know it, dance day may become their favorite day of the week. đ¤
