Somewhere along the way, fitness became something people think they need to be “ready” for.

Ready to run.
Ready to lift.
Ready to keep up.

But the truth is, everyone starts somewhere.

If you need to walk instead of run, use a lighter weight, reduce the reps, or modify the movement—that doesn’t mean you’re doing less. It means you’re doing what’s right for you today.

Scaling isn’t a shortcut.

It’s how people build confidence, consistency, and strength.

You belong in this space just as much as anyone else.

And if you’ve been thinking about starting, this is your reminder:

It’s not too late.

Scaled still counts.

One of my goals is to promote fitness in my community, especially within the Filipino community.

Filipinos have so much potential in CrossFit. Mobility, strength, speed, gymnastics
 and have you seen our calves? Game over.

But fitness isn’t just for athletes or competitors. It’s for everyone.

Whether you’re getting back into it or starting for the first time, it’s never too late.

Start slow. Start scaled. Start now.

Because every athlete starts somewhere.

Always remember to have fun and not take everything too seriously.

Yes, chase your goals. Work hard. Stay disciplined. Push yourself to be better than you were yesterday.

But don’t forget to enjoy it too.

Talk to your gym bros. Get to know your coaches. Connect with the people you meet through social media. Behind every PR, every workout post, and every highlight reel is a real person
 someone figuring things out, making mistakes, having bad days, and doing their best just like you.

Laugh at the missed lifts. Laugh at the failed attempts. Laugh at the moments that didn’t go according to plan.

Because years from now, you probably won’t remember every score, every workout, or every PR. You’ll remember the friendships, the conversations after class, the road trips, the inside jokes, and the people who made the journey worth it.

The best parts of fitness aren’t always found on the leaderboard.

Sometimes they’re found in the bloopers, the setbacks, the laughs, and the memories you create along the way.

Be human. Be yourself. Have fun.

Because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about. 😊

I got my kid to do CrossFit with me for a few weeks now. Best decision ever! Now house chores are done in 15mins or less! CrossFit is amazing! Thank you CrossFit
