What a game at NATS Night Out!

CAPS teams showed up and celebrated Pride together at the ballpark. It was an amazing night of community, friendship, and fun, with players, families, and supporters proudly representing our league.

🏳️‍🌈 CAPS Takes Pride! 🏳️‍🌈

A great time was had by all at DC Pride this past weekend! A special thank you to Tish Sanchez, Coach of Hot Glove Summer, for spearheading our incredible Pride float. CAPS was proudly represented by an amazing turnout of players, friends, families, and supporters who showed up in force to celebrate love, inclusion, and community.

Beyond marching in the parade, several CAPS players also volunteered throughout Capital Pride Weekend, helping support events, welcome attendees, and ensure the celebration was a success. Their dedication, generosity, and community spirit are a true reflection of what CAPS stands for: showing up, giving back, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and celebrated. We are incredibly proud of our players who represented CAPS both on and off the field.

Seeing so many CAPS softball players marching, volunteering, and celebrating together was truly inspiring. Thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend unforgettable! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Today we celebrate all the dads, father figures, coaches, mentors, and supporters who show up on and off the field. From early morning games to late inning comebacks, your leadership, dedication, and love for the game help make our league a true community.

To the fathers who coach from the dugout, cheer from the stands, and still find time to play hard between the lines, thank you for setting the standard for strength, commitment, and heart.

We appreciate you today and every day. Enjoy your day, you’ve earned it.

🥎🏆 BIG PEACH TOURNAMENT RECAP 🏆🥎

Congratulations to our DCCB D Team for bringing home 🥈 2nd Place this weekend at the Big Peach Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia! Your dedication, hustle, and teamwork were on full display all weekend long. We are beyond proud of you!

Shout out to our DCCB C Team for tying for 5th place in their division and battling hard every single game. 💪🏽🔥

And lastly, a huge shout out to Big Peach for introducing their very first WNT Division this year, featuring 5 incredible teams competing — including the Spartas! 🌈🥎 It’s amazing to see the continued growth, visibility, and support for the community in softball.

Today, CAPS honors and remembers the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸🥎🏳️‍🌈

Memorial Day is a time to reflect on courage, service, and unity, recognizing and honoring all who served, including the LGBTQIA+ members of our military community whose contributions and sacrifices helped shape the freedoms we celebrate today.

At Chesapeake & Potomac Softball, we stand together in pride, remembrance, and gratitude.

Today, as we hit the fields, we celebrate all of the amazing mothers who support, inspire, and strengthen our softball community every single day. From cheering in the stands to being players, coaches, mentors, and role models, today is for you!

We also take a moment to honor and remember the mothers we have lost. Their love, strength, and memories continue to live on in our hearts and throughout this league.

Wishing all of our softball moms a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, and joy. 💖
