The CAPS Family is beyond proud to celebrate Diane “Lady Di” Deming on her induction into the 2026 ASANA Hall of Fame! 🎉👏🏾

For nearly two decades, Lady Di has left an incredible mark on softball through her athletic excellence, leadership, mentorship, and service.

From being a 3-time CAPS Women’s Division+ MVP and CAPS Women’s Division Co-MVP, to becoming a CAPS Hall of Famer in 2021, Diane has consistently shown what it means to be a true champion.

Her accomplishments on the national stage with DC Swag include:
🥉 2017 ASANA World Series — 3rd Place
🏆 2018 ASANA World Series — D Division Champions
🥉 2022 ASANA World Series — 3rd Place

But Lady Di’s legacy goes far beyond wins and trophies. ❤️

She has led 8+ pitching clinics, served 7 years on the CAPS Ratings Committee, supported fundraising efforts, mentored countless players, and continuously worked to make our softball community stronger and more inclusive.

Lady Di, your grace, class, dedication, and love for the game have inspired generations of players. You have represented CAPS with pride and have shown that true greatness is measured not only by what you accomplish, but by how many people you lift along the way.

Congratulations to all of our league champions, tournament winners, and MVPs.Your dedication, sportsmanship, and hard work throughout the season were recognized and celebrated, and your accomplishments have inspired us all.

A huge thank you to every player, coach, umpire, sponsor, and spectators who helped make this season such a success. Whether you brought home a trophy, played your very first season, or simply showed up every week with passion and heart, you are an important part of what makes CAPS so special.

As we celebrate this season’s achievements, we’re already looking forward to what’s next. Thank you for making this another unforgettable year.

The 2026 Naptown Classic brought the competition, and CAPS was proudly represented by two incredible teams, the Bourbon Bombers and the DC Cherry Blossoms! 🥎

From the first pitch to the final out, both teams showcased heart, determination, and the true spirit of our league.
