The Arlington Rotary Club sponsored the park and it officially, opened in 1924 with picnic grounds and a nine-hole golf course. The 1930s saw the addition of a small woodbine sandstone structure that served as a monkey house. Today, that sandstone structure is part of the maintenance facility. A 9-hole walking course easily played under time constraints with a long-standing commitment to environmental enhancement and preservation, Meadowbrook Park Golf Course is an excellent choice for families and leagues. Play begins at Meadowbrook Park Golf Course thirty minutes before daylight and ends thirty minutes before dark every day except Christmas Day. Call for Thanksgiving Day hours. Weekend/Holiday tee times are accepted by phone or in person beginning at 6:00 a.m. the prior Tuesday. Weekday tee times are accepted up to a week in advance by phone or in person.
