A little late on the recap from last weekend!

Arlington 8/22

Brent:
Heat 1: 5th -> 2nd
Feature: 9th -> DNF

Went out for the heat, there was a little too much traction in the car but still came out with a 2nd place finish. He rolled out 9th for the feature, there wasn’t enough traction in the car so it was a little too loose on exit. About halfway through the race, the inspection plug on the oil pan left the chat, causing oil to hit the header and start a fire which then ended his night. There was no damage to the car.

Garett:
Heat 1: 3rd -> 6th
Feature: 16th -> 14th

During Garetts heat race, the right front was bottoming out and wasn’t running quite right. He made a few adjustments at the trailer and rolled out 16th for the feature. The car was fighting Garett throughout the whole race, nothing was working how it should. He did end up getting a few green arrows but the car just was not there.

Brent and Garett will be at Arlington Raceway-Official Page tonight. Races start at 7pm.

Redwood Speedway 8/16 recap
Brent: Heat 2: 7th →3rd
Feature: 9th →6th

Brent was making moves in the heat race and in 1 lap he went from last, to 3rd! The car was a hot rod all night and it showed. We could have potentially had a better feature result had he not had been trapped on the bottom for most of the race, but other than that, the car handled amazing and Brent was smiling from ear to ear at the end of the night!

Garett: Heat 1: 5th -> 4th
Feature: 4th →DNF

Garett got himself his 1st top 4 Heat race finish. After making a couple adjustments at the trailer, he went out for the feature and was hanging with the pack for a couple laps. There ended up being a caution and while pacing around he had noticed he lost high gear so that unfortunately put an end to his night.

With Mother Nature winning this one, Arlington Raceway is canceled for tonight. We will head our way to Redwood speedway tomorrow!

In the mean time, I realized there wasn’t an update from last weekend.

Arlington and Redwood Recap.

Brent
Heat: 5th —> 6th
Feature: 18th —> DNF

Nothing too exciting happened. The setup of the car still isn’t quite right and seemed to have went the other way. Brought the car home in one piece so that’s a win.

Garett
Arlington Heat: 2nd —> 5th
Feature: 14th —> 12th

Garett continues to show improvement within the stock car class and got himself a couple green arrows at Arlington.

Redwood Heat: 8th —> 5th
Feature: 10th —> 6th

Garett had a lot of fun last Sunday at Redwood. The car handled and ran fantastic and was able to run with the pack and get some more green arrows during the feature.

And with a quick gear change Garett will be making the trek to Redwood Speedway tonight!!!

🏁August 1st recap

Brent
Heat: 4th—> 2nd
Feature: 6th—> 5th

Some green arrows for Brent. The car is getting so close to where he wants it and the results certainly did show the improvements.

Garett
Heat: 1st—> 3rd
Feature: 1st—> 11th

We were able to diagnose, what we thought was the only issue, and that ended up being the center pin on the distributor cap burnt out. Unfortunately we are still battling some carburetor issues so hopefully we can get that figured out soon. Garett was confident enough with the car to finally start taking his positions. He started poll in the feature and was battling for the lead for a handful of laps. He was able to hold his own throughout most of the race and after all was said and done, he came home 11th.

🏁Sibley County Fair Stock Car Shootout recap!

Brent and Garett both started their night in the same heat. Brent starting 3rd and Garett starting 4th. Brent ended up finished 4th and Garett finished 8th while battling some electrical/carb issues. They took the top 4 to transfer into the A-Feature so that meant Garett was set to run a B-feature. After tuning on the car in the pits, Garett was set to roll out 10th in B-feature 2. Unfortunately, he DNF’d with a right front flat which ended his night. We got Brent all ready for the A where he would roll out 19th. He was gaining spots and we think he was in the top 10 at one point when about halfway through, contact was made with another car and he ended up bending a tie-rod. That unfortunately ended his night as well as the car was not steering quite right. The car keeps improving with the little changes we make from week to week and are feeling confident eventually the results will show it.

We will regroup and do some wrenching in the shop and be back on Saturday for the weekly show.

Although our night did not go as hoped, we had a great time and even got to chat with some racers from Wisconsin where we met a fellow Ford racer, and seen nothing but smiles from all of them.
