Paddy Gallagher Racing Welcome on the page of Paddy Gallagher, Racehorse trainer in Southern California, USA Paddy grew up in Strabane, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

After spending the first few years as an amateur jump jockey on the Curragh Paddy soon found his way to Southern California. The decade of working for trainer John Sullivan was followed by 7 years as assistant trainer to the legendary Bill Shoemaker. Working along 'The Shoe' has been an invaluable asset and personal gain. Thanks to all the mentors Paddy has become the horseman he his today. He often says 'that he is still learning every day' - well, each horse is different and thanks to them he continues to grow.
