Thoughts on nutrition from a Chinese medicine student ♡
If you’re someone that struggles with things like bloating, fatigue, anxiety, cold hands/feet, brain fog, PMS, irregular digestion.. small shifts like these can make a big difference :)
Drinks [warm vs iced]
Warm lemon water first thing in the morning improves your digestion for the rest of the day, whereas cold drinks constrict blood flow and slow digestive function. You’ll honestly feel the difference immediately
Foods [cooked vs raw]
Warm, cooked foods are easy to digest and conserve energy, whereas raw foods require more effort for digestion, leading to fatigue and loose stools, especially when we’re feeling weak or out of sorts.
Activities [presence vs stress]
Stress distracts your body from properly digesting meals. Being in a sympathetic (fight or flight) state is much harder on your body than aiming to eat meals slowly from a parasympathetic (rest and digest) state whenever possible. Digestion starts in the mouth!
Try these out and let me know if you notice a difference! But just to be clear - there is no *one* diet that is perfect for everyone. Always do what feels right for YOUR body♡

Save for when you’re nauseous 📍
This acupressure point (PC6, Neiguan) is one of the most researched acupuncture points and has been shown to reduce feelings of nausea. It works by influencing the vagus nerve and calming the nervous system, and can help with all types of nausea - whether due to pregnancy, chemotherapy, motion sickness - and yes, those motion sickness wristbands that people use on airplanes are designed to stimulate this point!
✦ 2-3 fingers widths below the inner wrist crease, between the tendons
✦ massage firmly for a minute or two while you breathe slowly
Let me know if it works for you!
Alsooo.. hi again!! Long time no see. I’ve been busy learning a whole lot for the past 3 years, and as I begin to prepare to graduate and get my acupuncture license, I plan to be back sharing on here much more often ♡

This quote brings me so much peace & I hope it will do the same for you:
“Our deep desires are wise, true, beautiful, and things we can grant ourselves without abandoning our Knowing. Following our deep desire always returns us to integrity. If your desire feels wrong to you: Go deeper. You can trust yourself. You just have to get low enough.
Your body will tell you things your mind will talk you out of. Your body is telling you what direction life is in. Try trusting it. Turn away from what feels cold. Go toward what feels warm.”

Tapping for soothing anxiety ♥
Did you know that Tapping has been shown to lower cortisol levels in the body by around 45%? This means the stress response is shifted to the relaxation response, which better allows our bodies to process emotions & heal.
Reach out through DM or click the link in my bio to book a 1:1 session with me so we can target what you’re working on more specifically :’)
