🏆 Champions! Stinger Sports Academy 14U Claims Summer Sizzler Title 🏆

Stinger Sports Academy 14U capped off an impressive weekend by defeating Fort Wayne Wolfpack 14U, 6-1, in the championship game of the Summer Sizzler Tournament in Decatur, Indiana. The victory secured the tournament championship and finished off a strong 4-1-1 weekend for the Stingers.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, the Stingers quickly responded in the third. Meghan Wade delivered an RBI single, while Breanna Garrett added a two-run RBI groundout to give Stinger a 3-1 advantage they would never relinquish.

The pitching staff was outstanding throughout the championship game. Breanna Garrett started in the circle before Meredith Alvarez took over in relief and dominated the Wolfpack lineup, tossing four scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and striking out three.

Offensively, Stinger received contributions throughout the lineup. Jayda Hollar, Mackenzie Sattison, Jaidelynn Bontrager, Khloe Lehman, Addison Holliday, and Meghan Wade each recorded a hit. Hollar, Bontrager, Wade, and Garrett all drove in runs to help fuel the championship victory.

The defense also came up big, turning a double play and making key plays behind the pitching staff to preserve the lead.

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff on an outstanding tournament performance and bringing home the Summer Sizzler Championship! 🏆🥎

As we begin preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 travel ball season, Stinger Sports Academy is seeking dedicated individuals to join our coaching staff.

We are currently looking for coaches for:

⚾ 10U Baseball
⚾ 12U Baseball
🥎 Softball Teams (All Age Groups)

This is a volunteer coaching opportunity for individuals who are passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the field. We are seeking leaders who are committed to teaching the fundamentals of the game, fostering character, promoting teamwork, and creating a positive environment where athletes can grow and succeed.

Ideal candidates may include experienced coaches, former players, educators, or community members who have a genuine desire to mentor and positively influence youth athletes.

🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND FOR STINGER SPORTS ACADEMY 12U! 🏆
What an amazing weekend in Lakeville, Indiana for the Stinger Sports Academy 12U boys!
The team kicked off pool play with a strong 10-5 victory over B45 Academy, earning the #1 seed heading into bracket play.
The boys came out swinging in their first bracket game against Triple Crown Threat. Carter got the home run party started, and Cohen and Jaxon joined in with homers of their own! Stinger cruised to an 11-0 victory, punching their gold ticket straight to the championship game.
In the championship matchup against Valpo Stars, the Stingers put on an incredible performance, winning 14-0 in a run-rule victory to claim the championship! 🏆
Austin and Luke were the home run heroes, and a huge congratulations goes out to Luke on his FIRST home run of the season! 🎉⚾ Go Luke!
On the mound, Jaxon was absolutely dominant. He threw a phenomenal game, allowing NO hits, striking out 5, and walking just 1 batter.
Outstanding pitching, explosive offense, and incredible teamwork helped these boys bring home the championship hardware! 💜💛

Our Stinger Sports Academy family is coming together to support one of our own during a very difficult time. One of the parents from our travel ball family is currently battling cancer, and the players, coaches, and families on the team have organized a fundraiser to help support them through this fight.

Stinger Sports Academy – located in Angola, Indiana.
Due to injuries, we are looking to add two motivated utility players to complete our 13U travel baseball roster for the 2026 season.
Players who are:
• Hard-working, coachable players with a strong desire to learn and improve
• Solid defensive fundamentals and sound hitting mechanics
• Pitching or catching experience is a plus, but not required
What we offer:
