Stinger Sports Academy, located in Angola, Indiana, is looking to add 1–2 talented athletes to complete our 11U A roster for the upcoming season.

This established second-year team is coming off a successful 11–11 season in 2026. Our program emphasizes player development, strong fundamentals, teamwork, and preparing athletes to compete at the next level.

Stinger Sports Academy is Looking to Add to Our Training Staff!

Stinger Sports Academy is seeking an independent Speed, Strength & Agility Trainer to join our growing training staff.

The trainer will lead two one-hour training sessions each week at our indoor facility in Angola, Indiana, working with young athletes to improve:

• Speed & acceleration
• Agility & quickness
• Strength & conditioning
• Coordination & athletic movement
• Overall athletic performance

Our Stinger travel baseball and softball players will attend these weekly sessions, providing the trainer with an established group of athletes to work with. Each session will also be open to the public, creating an opportunity to work with athletes from throughout the area.

We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, knowledgeable, and passionate about developing young athletes.

This is an independent trainer opportunity with the potential to expand into additional training sessions and programs as demand grows.

Introducing Tyra Marcum | Softball Hitting & Fielding Instructor

Stinger Sports Academy is excited to welcome Tyra Marcum to our training staff.

Tyra is a senior at Trine University and a member of the Trine softball program. This fall, she will be offering hitting and fielding lessons at Stinger Sports Academy as she prepares for her upcoming collegiate season.

Through her first three seasons at Trine, Tyra has established herself as an elite offensive player, compiling an impressive:

• .888 slugging percentage
• 48 home runs
• 174 RBIs
• 40 doubles

Tyra brings a wealth of high-level playing experience and a strong understanding of the game to our athletes. We are excited to have her working with the next generation of softball players at Stinger.

Hitting and fielding lessons with Tyra will be available this fall.

Stinger Sports Academy is pleased to welcome Owen Willard to our training staff.

Owen brings an outstanding playing background and valuable experience at the high school, travel, NCAA Division I, and NAIA levels. His knowledge of the game, particularly in pitching and hitting, will be a tremendous asset to our athletes and training programs.

Stinger Sports Academy, located in Angola, Indiana, is looking to add 1–2 talented athletes to complete our 13U AA roster for the upcoming season.

This is an established fourth-year team coming off a successful 21–13 record during the 2026 season.

Our program is focused on player development, strong fundamentals, teamwork, and preparing athletes to compete at the next level.

🏆 Champions! Stinger Sports Academy 14U Claims Summer Sizzler Title 🏆

Stinger Sports Academy 14U capped off an impressive weekend by defeating Fort Wayne Wolfpack 14U, 6-1, in the championship game of the Summer Sizzler Tournament in Decatur, Indiana. The victory secured the tournament championship and finished off a strong 4-1-1 weekend for the Stingers.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first inning, the Stingers quickly responded in the third. Meghan Wade delivered an RBI single, while Breanna Garrett added a two-run RBI groundout to give Stinger a 3-1 advantage they would never relinquish.

The pitching staff was outstanding throughout the championship game. Breanna Garrett started in the circle before Meredith Alvarez took over in relief and dominated the Wolfpack lineup, tossing four scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and striking out three.

Offensively, Stinger received contributions throughout the lineup. Jayda Hollar, Mackenzie Sattison, Jaidelynn Bontrager, Khloe Lehman, Addison Holliday, and Meghan Wade each recorded a hit. Hollar, Bontrager, Wade, and Garrett all drove in runs to help fuel the championship victory.

The defense also came up big, turning a double play and making key plays behind the pitching staff to preserve the lead.

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff on an outstanding tournament performance and bringing home the Summer Sizzler Championship! 🏆🥎

As we begin preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 travel ball season, Stinger Sports Academy is seeking dedicated individuals to join our coaching staff.

We are currently looking for coaches for:

⚾ 10U Baseball
⚾ 12U Baseball
🥎 Softball Teams (All Age Groups)

This is a volunteer coaching opportunity for individuals who are passionate about developing young athletes both on and off the field. We are seeking leaders who are committed to teaching the fundamentals of the game, fostering character, promoting teamwork, and creating a positive environment where athletes can grow and succeed.

Ideal candidates may include experienced coaches, former players, educators, or community members who have a genuine desire to mentor and positively influence youth athletes.
