🎙️ NEW PODCAST — HEALTH IS NOT A SOLO PROJECT

We talk about health like it’s an individual pursuit.

Your workout.
Your nutrition.
Your sleep.
Your habits.
Your discipline.

And yes—you are ultimately responsible for the decisions you make.

But that doesn’t mean you have to make them alone.

In this week’s episode of the Warrior’s Path CrossFit Podcast, I’m talking about the role our environment, relationships, coaches, families, friends, and communities play in the health we’re trying to build.

Because sometimes the most valuable thing another person can do isn’t do the work for you.

It’s notice when you’re gone.

Remind you what you’re capable of.

Make the healthier choice a little easier.

Or simply say, “Come back. We’ll figure it out.”

We talk about why coaching is a relationship, how community helps us return after setbacks, why we sometimes borrow confidence from the people around us, and one important question:

Who is on your health team?

Personal responsibility matters. But personal responsibility doesn’t require isolation.

You have to walk your own path.
You don’t have to walk it alone.

Health is not a solo project.

We talk about health like it's an individual project.

Your workout.
Your nutrition.
Your sleep.
Your discipline.
Your habits.
Your motivation.

But I've been thinking about something...

What if one of the most important parts of your health isn't something you do by yourself?

What if part of becoming healthier is simply this:

Who are you doing life with?

Over the next few posts, I want to talk about something we don't always give enough credit to—the role other people can play in helping us become healthier, stronger, and more consistent.

Because yes, you have to do the work.

But you don't necessarily have to do it alone.

What if your schedule is the only thing standing between you and getting started?

👋 Teachers. Students. Early-shift workers. Parents who need to be home for the evening. We’re especially curious about you.

Maybe 6 AM is way too early.
9 AM happens right in the middle of your day.
And by 6 PM, work, dinner, kids, practices, homework—and life—have already taken over.

We’ve been thinking about this a lot at Warrior’s Path CrossFit.

Because your schedule shouldn’t be the reason you can’t start.

We’re exploring ways to make coached fitness more accessible to people whose lives simply don’t fit neatly into the traditional morning-or-evening gym schedule.

So before we make any decisions, we want to hear from you.

Would an earlier afternoon workout—something around 4 PM—make it easier for you to consistently prioritize your health and fitness?

If you’re a teacher getting out of school, a student looking to train before the evening, an early-shift worker who’s already finished for the day—or simply someone for whom 4 PM works better—we want to know.

Employee burnout is real—and taking care of yourself outside of work matters, too.

An article that crossed my feed today got me thinking about the role movement, connection, and support can play in helping us manage the demands of everyday life.

And that makes this the perfect time to share some news:

Warrior’s Path CrossFit is now participating with Wellhub!

If your employer offers Wellhub as part of your employee benefits, you may now be able to use that benefit to train with us.

And if you've been curious about CrossFit but weren't sure where to start, this is your invitation.

At Warrior's Path, you won't just be given a workout and left to figure it out. You'll be coached. You'll learn how to move safely and effectively. Every workout can be adjusted for your current fitness level, and you'll become part of a community that notices when you walk through the door.

Fitness can be an hour of your day that's about more than burning calories.

It can be a chance to move.
To get stronger.
To connect with other people.
To shut off the workday.
And to invest in the person who has to show up for everything else.

Already have Wellhub? Come give Warrior's Path CrossFit a try.

And if you're not sure whether your employer offers Wellhub, check your employee wellness benefits—you might be surprised.

Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.
Take the Warrior's Path.

There’s a shift happening in fitness — and I think it’s worth paying attention to.

ABC Fitness recently released its 2026 Wellness Watch report, and one of the ideas that stood out to me was what they’re calling the “reinforcement shift.”

People aren’t necessarily looking for more motivation.

They’re looking for support, structure, accountability, community, and environments that make healthy behaviors easier to repeat.

As a coach, THAT caught my attention.

I recorded a quick 6-minute YouTube video breaking down what the report found, what I think it means for the fitness industry, and — more importantly — what it means for the everyday person trying to build a healthier life.

Because getting started matters.

But building something you can keep doing? That’s where the real change happens.

You don't have to crush the workout for the workout to count.
Some days you add weight.
Some days you take it off.
Some days you Rx.
Some days you scale.
Some days you walk through the door feeling fantastic.
And sometimes showing up is the win.
One of the things I still love about old-school CrossFit methodology is the progression:
Mechanics → Consistency → Intensity.
Notice what comes before intensity.
Consistency.
Yet somewhere along the way, people started believing every workout needed to leave them on the floor to be worthwhile.
It doesn't.
Training works because you can come back and train again.
Your job isn't to prove how fit you are every day.
Your job is to keep building fitness for the life you want to live.
Scale when you need to. Modify when you need to. Keep showing up.
That's not taking the easy way out.
That's training for the long game.

🎙️ 10 YEARS ON THE WARRIOR’S PATH — SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Today marks 10 years of Warrior’s Path CrossFit. ❤️

So for this week’s podcast and blog, I wanted to go back to the foundation and answer a question that has guided so much of what we’ve built:

What does it actually mean to be fit?

We’re talking about CrossFit’s Sickness-Wellness-Fitness Continuum, the 10 General Physical Skills, Fitness in 100 Words, and the hierarchy that starts with nutrition and ultimately leads to one important goal:

Using your fitness to live your life.

We also talk about the piece that ties everything together—mindset.

Creating the right environment. Building better habits. Developing confidence in your decisions. Having the discipline to follow through. And understanding that when life, vacation, injury, illness, or a rough patch knocks you backward, you haven’t lost everything you’ve built.

Fitness creates a buffer.

The farther we can move ourselves from sickness and toward fitness, the more capacity we have for whatever life asks of us.

After 10 years, the mission still comes back to this:

Build the foundation.
Develop the capacity.
Practice the skills.
Create the habits.
Use your fitness.

Fitness = Freedom. Health = Wealth.

Happy 10th Anniversary, Warrior’s Path. And thank you to everyone who has been part of this Path. ❤️

10 years.

On September 1, 2016, Warrior’s Path CrossFit opened its doors.

Today marks a decade.

There have been thousands of workouts between then and now. PRs. First pull-ups. Hard days. Comebacks. New friendships.

People walking through the door terrified on Day 1 who eventually became the person encouraging somebody else through theirs.

But when I think about what 10 years actually represents, I keep coming back to one word:
Consistency.

Not perfection.

Not constant growth.

Not always knowing exactly what comes next.
Just continuing to show up, learn, adjust, coach, care about people—and come back tomorrow.

There’s something wonderfully old-school CrossFit about that.

Mechanics.
Consistency.
Then intensity.

We usually apply that progression to movement, but after 10 years, I think it applies pretty well to building something meaningful too.

You establish the fundamentals.

You repeat them.

You get better.

And eventually you look around and realize those ordinary days have become a decade.

To every person who has walked through our doors during these 10 years: thank you for being part of the Warrior’s Path.

We’re not finished.

Take the Warrior’s Path.

Turns out Warrior’s Path CrossFit has had a superhero team this whole time. 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️🐾

Coach Kris. Coach Drew. Coach Rob. Coach Cayla. Coach Chantel.

And, obviously, Trooper. Because every superhero team needs a four-legged sidekick. 🐶

AI may have given us the costumes… but the real superpowers show up every day in the gym: coaching, encouraging, problem-solving, adapting, and helping people do things they didn’t think they could do.

Different strengths. Different personalities. One pretty awesome team.

⚡ What would YOUR CrossFit superpower be?
