☕ Coffee first, then Groove.
🎶 Or Groove first, then coffee tastes even better.

Either way, we’ll be moving together:
Tuesdays (Anderson Rec Center) at 9:30 AM.

Lately, I've been thinking about this phrase:

Become the Performer.

But what does that actually mean?

For a long time, I think I assumed it meant becoming more confident. More polished. More experienced.

Now I'm not so sure.

When I watch a performance that really stays with me, it isn't usually because of one perfect note. It's because someone has created an experience. You can feel the thought that went into it—the storytelling, the movement, the pacing, the moments that make you lean in.

Maybe becoming a performer isn't about changing who you are.

Maybe it's about learning how to create an experience that invites people into your world.

I'm still exploring that idea, and I have a feeling it's one I'll be thinking about for a long time.

So I'll ask you...

What does "becoming the performer" mean to you?

Sometimes what we "think" we hear isn’t what’s actually written.

While coaching “For Good,” the sheet music revealed a beautiful vocal choice that was easy to miss by listening to the track alone.

A reminder for teachers and coaches: we don’t have to know everything—but we do need to stay curious, check our assumptions, and be willing to look again. 🎶

Sometimes the hardest part isn't learning a new skill...

It's allowing yourself to own the title.

Last week I officially stepped into the role of choreographer for "Little Shop of Horrors" at Oconee Community Theatre, and if I'm honest... I'm excited and just a little terrified.

I've decided to document the entire journey—from the first read-through to opening night.

If you've ever said YES to something before you felt completely ready, I'd love for you to follow along.

💬 What's something you wish you'd known the first time you took on a really big challenge?

“I didn’t know how much I needed this until I tried it.”
That’s what people say after Groove class. 🥰

Tuesdays • 9:30 AM • Anderson Rec Center

One hour. Zero judgement. 100% YOU.

The original key is not a test of whether you’re a “real” singer.

You may need to lower a song. You may actually need to raise it.

The best key is the one where your voice—and the song—come alive. 🎶

Sometimes what falls apart isn’t the end—it’s the clearing.

A fallen tree became space for a stage. And in my career, the things that didn’t work have often made room for something more aligned to grow.

Maybe you’re not failing. Maybe you’re evolving. ✨

Follow along as I build a life—and eventually a stage—that fits the dream.
