Meet Ms. Naomi! We are thrilled to welcome her to our teaching staff, and we know our students will benefit greatly from her mentorship.

Naomi Bauer has been dancing for most of her life. She has trained in multiple styles of dance including Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Ballet, Hip-hop, Tap, and Bharatanatyam (an Indian classical dance form). She began teaching at the age of 13 with her home competition studio in Michigan and with various community theatres. She studied theatre and dance while at Cornell College, where she produced, taught, performed, and choreographed a variety of dance and musical theatre shows. After graduating, she moved to Alaska and has been dancing with Studio Pulse's adult program ever since. She can’t wait to share her knowledge and experience with her students and loves watching dancers grow and tackle new challenges.

Happening RIGHT NOW in Amplify: our first-ever adult/open community dance intensive. We love seeing the many faces taking advantage of our various offerings this weekend! Guest artist Lana Nedic ‘s commercial jazz class was… magical. 🪄

Meet Ms. Theresa! We're give this ICON a shoutout because we're beyond lucky to have her nurturing some of our youngest dancers!

Theresa owned and operated Children's Dance Theater on the Southside for 16 (!) years. She specializes in Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, and Jazz instruction. Theresa has her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Dance from Montclair State College in New Jersey, and has frequently participated in the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival. She has studied Belly Dance and danced with Alaska Silk Road, and is Zumba and Zumba Kids/Jr. certified. You may recognize her from her role of Mother Ginger in Pulse's Nutcracker Redux! Her greatest love in the classroom is watching the youngest dancers discover, develop, and blossom, all because they danced.
