Screen Printer

Full Time or high school part time

You have to show up to work every day. I know.. that’s weird

Dooley’s Athletic is looking to hire a qualified screen printer or I will train the individual who is willing to learn.

As a screen printer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the textile screen printing process.

We have both manual and automatic presses.

The printer must be able to read and understanding the work order, exposing the screen, washing out the image, setting up the job, mixing the correct ink colors, loading the screen onto the press, producing the final printed articles, and cleaning the machine after each batch.

You are also required to dry, fold and count the final printed articles before they are packaged and sent to the customer.

As a small shop many other duties could be assigned as required.

We also do embroidery, banners, print cut sew sublimation, stickers, heat transfers etc.

To ensure success as a screen printer, you should exhibit many different skills, be able to stand for long hours, be comfortable with manual labor, and have excellent hand-eye coordination. Ultimately, a top-level screen printer can create beautifully designed articles that fully meet the customer's specifications.

Screen Printer Responsibilities:
Receiving work order jobs for Screen Printing.
Examining work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities.
Selecting screen size, degreasing agents and emulsion coatings.
Loading screen into printer.
Installing and repositioning screen printing plates and pressure roles.
Calibrating printer before batch is printed.
Running prints and performing quality checks throughout the printing process.
Troubleshooting problems as they arise.
Drying, folding, and packing completed articles after the run.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
High level of creative and artistic skills.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to manually operate large machinery.
Ability to work alone for long shifts.
This is a Non Smoking shop.

Hey Friends,

Help is needed. Please send a email to the following, Mayor LaFrance, Assembly members, and Director of Parks and Rec.

As many of you know I run the Alaska Outdoor Volleyball Association at Springer Park on 38th and Arctic.

I built the courts 24 years ago to help grow outdoor sand volleyball. We have over 370 players along with their children coming every week in the league to enjoy the courts and participate in a healthy lifestyle as well as youth volleyball camps during the day..

People are playing basketball, grass volleyball, kids enjoying the playground with their parents, families having a bbq. The park is well used all week long.

Its a never ending battle with the homeless putting up tents in the park.

This tent showed up two days ago. It’s growing in size daily and is 30 feet from our courts. We have girls as young as 12 out playing volleyball.

Their safety is at risk.

Today the person occupying the tent was seen walking into it with a climbing ax. People coming and going to it through out the day.

The camper truck has been in the parking lot for a week.

We need them both abated or removed immediately!!
