On August 11th, OAP is hosting an Intro to Backpacking Clinic. Whether you are new to backpacking or looking to dial your systems for backcountry travel in the Last Frontier, this engaging and hands on workshop has you covered!🌄

Meet the OAP Team ➡ Gavin!

Gavin is a retired military veteran with 23 years of service—spanning the Army as an infantryman and medic, and the Air Force in Security Forces. Moving to Alaska in 2016, he is a Certified Personal Trainer and currently pursuing his degree in Outdoor Studies at Alaska Pacific University. Gavin finds his peace through Alaskan outdoor activities, and whether on the trails, on a board, or on the water, he is dedicated to helping others build confidence, mastery, and that same sense of peace in the wilderness. Reese is from Hong Kong and moved to Alaska after completing a solo bike tour from Fairbanks to Anchorage💪 Reese has worked as an outdoor educator for the last 6 years, working with youth across rural Alaska to Mongolia. She is going to school at UAA for Civil Engineering, and has been guiding at OAP for 1 season! Learn more about all of Reese's favorites here👇
