empowering women through movement & self-love

the practical version, because i know “eat more” is empty advice on its own:

eat closer to what your body actually needs to function, swap some of your cardio for strength training a couple times a week, and stop treating movement as punishment for eating.

that’s the whole shift that got me from surviving on 1200 calories to actually having the energy for a big life + the exact strategy I use with my own clients!!!

eat enough for changes to actually HAPPEN with your body - you can’t starve yourself into feeling toned or fit or capable. and I promise - you can’t starve yourself into happiness or feeling more connected to your body.

training for a half marathon is already a massive ask of your body.

trying to run a deficit on top of that is just under-fueling a body that’s already working overtime and the perfect recipe to absolutely hate every step of your training

- it’s usually why people end up exhausted, injured, or burnt out before race day even happens instead of actually seeing results.

the leaning out can happen literally any other season. race training is not it.

save this for the next time you’re tempted to diet your way through a big training block

ran the experiment on basically every fad diet that exists so you don’t have to 🤪

extreme calorie cuts, cutting entire food groups, detox teas, plans with an expiration date built into the name. every one of them worked short term, and every one of them made it almost impossible to maintain once you stepped outside the rules.

that’s part of their design though dude! a plan that only works under extreme restriction isn’t built for your actual life, it’s built to get you back and keep you. you lose, you can’t sustain it forever, you regain, and now you’re a returning customer instead of someone who fixed anything. i did that cycle more times than i want to admit and my metabolism and relationship with food both took the hit for it.

what actually worked wasn’t the fastest thing out there. it was eating enough consistently, lifting instead of chasing a fast number down on the scale, building habits boring enough i don’t even think of them as “the diet” anymore, they’re just what i do.

if a plan has a longer list of things you CANT eat than things you CAN, it was never built to get you anywhere permanent.

you can ditch the fad diets + learn how to do it right OR I can check in with you in 5 years and you’ll probably be in the exact same place 🫠
