Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the bravery and sacrifice of first responders, and stand with the families and communities forever changed by that day.

May we continue to carry forward the spirit of unity, service, and compassion shown in the days that followed.

We will never forget.

Join the Pros vs. Joes Challenge with the Safe Roads Challenge app. It runs quietly in the background, captures events like hard stops and swerves, gives you safety scores, and sends gift card rewards by email—including $5 after your first trip.
UMass researchers will use de-identified, aggregated data to better understand the risks and near-miss situations CDL operators face and develop driver education and public-awareness materials encouraging motorists to safely share the road with large trucks and buses.

Stephanie Cottrell and Kathryn Donnelly represented the UMass Transportation Center and Baystate Roads at the American Public Works Association’s PWX 2026 in Houston this week!

With more than 150 educational sessions and 480 exhibitors, they had the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and challenges facing the public works industry.

We also got to represent NLTAPA at a booth this year as apart of an ongoing partnership APWA. It was great to hear from people across the country who benefit from LTAP and TTAPs as well as introduce ourselves to those who never heard of us.

We cannot wait to bring new ideas back to Massachusetts!
