If you think cardio is the fastest way to lose weight, I want to challenge that for a second.

Cardio burns calories while you're doing it. That's it. The second you step off the treadmill, that calorie burn stops. Strength training works differently. When you build muscle, you increase the amount of energy your body burns even when you're sitting on the couch or sleeping. More muscle means a metabolism that's working for you around the clock, not just during your workout.

I'm not saying cardio is bad. I'm saying if your plan is almost all cardio and very little strength work, you're making this a lot harder than it needs to be, especially if the goal is to lose the weight and actually keep it off.

If you want a plan built around this instead of another round of more hours on the treadmill, click the link below to schedule your free No Sweat Intro.

Six weeks ago, this client walked through our doors ready to get after it before heading off to serve in the military.

Here's what he did in that time. Down 10 pounds, down 4% body fat, and gained muscle in the process. Real numbers, right there on his InBody scan, no guesswork involved.

What gets me most isn't the numbers, it's the reason behind them. He wanted to walk into this next chapter of his life stronger and more prepared, and he put in the work to make that happen.

Thank you for your service, and thank you for letting us be part of your journey before you go. We're proud of you.

If you want results like this before your own next chapter, whatever that looks like for you, click the link below to schedule your free No Sweat Intro:

Two of my favorite leg exercises, back to back.

Leg press builds raw strength and quad size without beating up your lower back the way some other leg exercises can. Dumbbell RDLs hit the hamstrings and glutes while also working on your grip and stability at the same time.

If your leg day only has one of these movement patterns, squat or hinge, you're leaving results on the table. Both need to be in the program.

You won't believe some of the crazy-ass trends that are hot right now in the fitness space.

As I'm eating meal 4, I almost throw up in my mouth because I can't even.....

Here are my top 5:
1. Napercise: popular in the UK, a fitness "class" that's stretching followed by a 45-minute guided nap. I want to be annoyed by this but also, sign me up.

2. Oat-zempic: oats, lime juice, water, and cinnamon blended into a drink, named to piggyback on Ozempic. Ozempic by curbing appetite and causing rapid weight loss. TikTok users claim that drinking this mixture acts as a natural alternative to Ozempic by curbing appetite and causing rapid weight loss. People are ditching meals for this and losing weight, sure, because they're basically starving and losing muscle along with it.

3. Dry Scooping: eating pre-workout powder straight, no water. This has actually been linked to heart attacks and is a legitimate choking hazard. Wild that this needs to be said out loud.

4. The 30-30-30 Method: 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking, then 30 minutes of exercise. Is it the structure?

5. High Heel Workouts: squats and lunges in heels for "posture and balance." I have opinions about ankle stability that I'll keep to myself.

Which is your favorite?

What crazy-ass trends are you seeing out there?

EPCOT is fast becoming one of our favorite Disney parks.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom was great, but hot as hell 🔥🔥🔥!

We had a great day at the Magic Kingdom. We capped it off reservations for Disney’s “Seats & Sweets” and enjoyed the fireworks 🎆.

When it’s time to eat, it’s all about that protein.
