A literal up-and-down night for Clayton….

The night started on a high with some great heat race action and Clayton picking up his FIRST MARA Series heat race WIN! 🏆🔥

The feature was a little more “up” than we planned—Clayton jumped the cushion and went for a bit of a ride. 😬 Thankfully, he’s doing OK, just a little sore today! And BTW Mom's doing OK too!

A huge thank you to Rob Ray and the entire Ray Racing team for all the help and for giving Clayton this opportunity. We truly appreciate it! The track crew and medical team was great as well and we appreciate their quick attention and even following up afterwards.

The highs, the lows…and apparently a little airtime too.

Clayton had a blast running without a wing for the first time in a MARA midget! 🏁

Without ever turning a lap in one of these cars, his very first laps were qualifying, where he landed 8th out of 18 cars. He kept learning every lap and brought it home 7th in the feature!

A special thanks to Rob Ray with Ray Racing Enterprises and the entire crew for giving Clayton the opportunity to get behind the wheel. We really appreciate it!

Change of pace for the next couple of weekends—we’re headed camping for the 360 & 410 Knoxville Raceway Nationals!

Starting off with Joe Inman’s famous mac & cheese, Tanner Holmes’ LEGO Sprint Car set, and 10 straight days of sprint car racing… what more could a guy ask for?

We’ll be back behind the wheel on August 21st and 22nd with the MARA Midget Series in Illinois, then back to Knoxville on the 29th for Championship Night.

Best of luck to a couple of our favorites this week— Kade Higday Racing and Fast Jack Anderson Racing. We’ll be cheering you on. 🏁

Sometimes a photo says it all.

It was a tough night for Clayton. Right at the start, the car in front of him bobbled. Clayton tried to make a pass through the slick, but it got him sideways and once he lost his momentum, he ended up getting in a tangle up that tore the car up pretty good.

Huge thanks to our family, friends, and crew who jumped in the work area to get the car back together. Clayton was able to restart at the tail and drive all the way back up to 7th and charging forward by about the halfway point, even with a car that was pretty heavily damaged.

Unfortunately, the damage finally caught up with us when the front axle gave way and broke, ending our night early.

That’s racing. We’ll keep our heads up, get another car put together, and be ready to give it another shot next race.

Another great night of racing on the Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🏁

The night started with a milestone as Clayton earned his first-ever Quick Time Award!

The draw definitely didn’t go our way, which meant Clayton had to start 8th in the A Main. He put on an incredible charge through the field, driving all the way up to finish 3rd!

We also want to take a moment to send our thoughts and prayers to Claytons’s cousin Jack Anderson following his accident. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Jack. We’re all thinking about you. ❤️🙏

What a night at Knoxville Raceway! 🏁
