Parents — if your teen is looking for a first job that actually teaches them something, read this one. 🏊
We're running lifeguard certification classes at Diventures Alpharetta this fall, and it's the starting point for a real career in aquatics — not just a summer gig.
📅 CLASS DATES (Saturday & Sunday, both days required)
• September 5–6
• October 3–4
• November 28–29
🔄 LIFEGUARD REVIEW — November 29 (one day, for guards already certified)
💵 $295 full lifeguard certification
💵 $161 lifeguard review / recertification
WHAT THEY'LL LEARN
Water rescues, spinal injury management and backboarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. This is a hands-on class — most of it happens in the water. They finish with a two-year certification recognized nationwide at pools, waterparks, summer camps, and beaches.
WHERE IT LEADS
Every swim instructor on our team started with a lifeguard certification. It's the first credential on the path. We guard open water triathlons and teach swim lessons to every age — from six-month-olds to adults learning for the first time — and this certification is the prerequisite for all of it.
So if teaching swim is where they're headed, this is the right first step instead of something they backtrack for a year from now.
And honestly? Beyond the job, they'll learn to stay calm, read a room, and handle a real emergency. That's worth something no matter what they end up doing.
REQUIREMENTS
• Age 15 or older
• Strong swimmer — there's a prerequisite swim test at the start of day one (continuous swim, treading water, and retrieving a brick from the deep end)
• Available both days
Serving families in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Roswell, Dunwoody and Duluth.
Class sizes are capped. Call us at (770) 992-3772 or send us a message to register

🌴 What a week in paradise! 🌴
Twenty-two divers, one incredible destination, and memories that will last a lifetime.
This past week, Drago led an amazing group to Dunbar Rock in Guanaja, Honduras, where we explored breathtaking reefs, celebrated major accomplishments, and welcomed new lifelong friendships. Every trip reminds us that scuba diving is about so much more than what's underwater—it's about the people you share it with.
We had plenty to celebrate!
🎉 Dive Milestones
🤿 3 divers reached 50 dives (Laura, Erin & Jacob)
🤿 6 divers reached 100 dives (Cindy, Jess, Stacy, Kevin, Deanna & Emmet)
🤿 1 diver reached 150 dives (Marc)
🤿 1 diver reached 200 dives (Laura)
🤿 2 divers reached 400 dives (Kathy & Dave)
🏅 New SSI Master Divers
👏 Congratulations to Jacob, Kathy, Dave, and Laura on earning one of SSI's highest recreational diver ratings!
🎂 We also celebrated the birthdays of Dave, Debbie, and Drago, making an already unforgettable week even more special.
To everyone who joined us—thank you for making this trip one filled with laughter, encouragement, adventure, and incredible diving. Watching each of you grow as divers is why we love doing what we do.

Thank you, friends. 💙
Splash Bash was a blast, and it was great to see so many of you in the water with us.
From dunking your teacher to open swim to our ecology station and everything in between, the day was packed start to finish. Watching kids who were nervous at the start of the summer jump in without hesitating is exactly why we do this.
Thanks to your donations, we raised $120 each for our two scholarship partners SwimSafe, Inc. Outdoor Afro . Both organizations work to make swim lessons and water safety education accessible to more families across metro Atlanta. Every dollar goes straight to putting another kid in the water with an instructor.
To everyone who came out, volunteered, and cheered from the deck: thank you. We could not have done it without you.
See you at the next one. 🏊

DIVER DIVER, ARE YOU OK?!
What an incredible weekend of Stress & Rescue Certification dives!
All 9 out of 9 divers were put through the wringer—and every single one stepped up, stayed focused, and performed some seriously impressive rescue scenarios.
Huge congratulations to each and every student! You challenged yourselves, pushed your limits, and showed what it means to be a confident, capable diver. Well done!
And a very special shoutout to Dawson and Julie, who also completed their Master Diver rating!
That’s a huge milestone in a diver’s journey, and one that takes dedication, experience, and a lot of hard work. Less than 2% of divers ever achieve this recognition!
