The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center joins communities across the country in recognizing September as Su***de Awareness & Prevention Month.
Later this month, the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners will approve a resolution officially recognizing September 2026 as Su***de Awareness & Prevention Month in Lehigh County.
Su***de affects individuals, families, friends, coworkers, first responders, and entire communities. This month is an opportunity to raise awareness, reduce stigma, encourage meaningful conversations, and remind those who may be struggling that help is available.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of su***de, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Together, we can continue working toward a community where people feel supported, heard, and encouraged to seek help when they need it.

It's back to school time for students and back to work time for Coroner Buglio!
As students across the county head back to the classroom, the LCCO&FC wishes everyone a safe, successful and exciting new year!
Drivers, please remember to slow down, stay alert, watch for children at bus stops and crosswalks and always STOP for school buses displaying flashing red lights and STOP arm signals. A few extra seconds of caution can make all the difference.
Have a great first day and a safe school year!

What weighs 6,000 pounds and arrives in five pieces? The new CT scanner for the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center!
As expected with any major construction project, a few minor construction hiccups have slowed the process. However, the scanner has arrived, installation is moving forward, and we expect to be fully operational within the next few weeks.
Once everything is complete, we will be hosting a full public Open House! Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Forensic Center, including the morgue, autopsy suite, investigative offices, and our new CT scanner suite. Guests will also have the chance to meet our staff, learn about the work we do every day, and see firsthand how this advanced technology will enhance the services we provide to the citizens of Lehigh County.
This is another major milestone for the LCCO&FC, and we can't wait to welcome our community through our doors and showcase the incredible work being done here every day.
