I just love these girls! They were so lucky to have met online before moving to campus and to choose each other as roommates. Always a gamble and this one paid off! They have such a tight friendship, great love and support and they’re now sorority sisters and roommates once again. We had a blast with Iyanu when she spent spring break with us. These pics are from a Barbie themed Delta Zeta party.

Just in time for lunch, my CSA box just arrived and I’m feeling inspired to get cooking this evening. Thank you for the gorgeous produce and for keeping us healthy.

Happy 22nd birthday, .jackola! Thank you for making me a mom and bringing extreme joy to my life. You are my ride or die scary movie bestie (pass the emotional support 🍿). I’ve had so much fun cooking with you, going on impromptu foodie adventures together and watching you live your best life. Wishing you an amazing year! ❤️

A little getaway to Sonoma with my sweetheart. We started the day with a lovely, very intimate tasting then on their recommendation headed to . The view was incredible! We rounded out the day which is just stunning. After lots of sun, viticulture education, a wee bit of wine 😉 and copious amounts of cheese, we checked into the where they surprised us with some anniversary treats. Overall, a magical day. We’re now toying with adding some vines to our land. Cheers!

Sometimes I feel like I need to be present and enjoy the moment without posting. Now it’s time to do a September photo dump. Warning: Lots of photos to come…

and I took a road trip to visit family and see some California sites. We started in SLO by spending the evening at the most mind-blowing farmers market ever! We indulged in tri-tip sandwiches, listened to live music, had a beer at a saloon and got ready for the next leg of our journey. The first photo is from an incredible hike we did a few days later in Lucas Valley (Marin County) above Skywalker Ranch. In typical Jackola-style, we thought we’d hike a couple of miles since we started very late in the day and ended up logging just over six miles.

Happy first day of sophomore year, .jackola! You’re going to light this year on fire.
