Lift Heavy Weights.

I’ve seen the professional warmer-upper. Getting ready, to get ready, for something… that never really comes.

I’ve seen people trapped in corrective
exercise purgatory. I’m not sure what they’re correcting, but they seem to need endless amounts of it.

I’ve seen people waste a lot of time in the gym over the years, repeating the same things only to look the same year after year…

What do they all have in common?
The load selection is too light and not progressive.

You can have “the perfect program” and you can be super consistent, but without increasing intensity and continual effort you’ll plateau quickly.

If you want real results there are rules to the game. ♟️

Load your bones with progressively heavier weights and they will become strong and dense.

Don’t load your bones and they will regressively adapt and become frail, hollow and easier to break.

The former is called Osteogenesis.
The latter, and sadly more popular term: osteoporosis.

These are both adaptations. Gravity, your environment and what you do activity and nutrition wise will determine how strong you can create your being.

Create your being.

Heavy strength training is the gold standard.

Everyone could use a little Ed in their head. 💥

The benefits of strength training are tremendous: but you have to lift heavy enough with high effort, consistently over time to reap the rewards.

“Heavy” is a relative term in relationship to the prescribed rep ranges: 3-5, 8-10, etc.

…But if you’re never failing, can always get the reps and could have done many more: then chance are the weights need to increase.

Hard Sets = Health Benefits

I have experienced the mental health benefits from Strength Training and movement. I’ve also helped others discover this potential benefit.

As one of my clients tells me: “Depression can’t hit a moving target. 🎯

The current research supports higher intensity activities being more beneficial for mental health, anxiety and depression.

Imagine if that intervention was met with meaningful nutrition changes and an understanding coach to help guide you…

Physical Health = Mental Health

Here’s an interesting question: can a healthy brain/mind exist in an unhealthy body? And if the body is thriving physically and nutritionally will that not also impact the overall well-being of the person? The emotional spectrum and mental states?

It absolutely will, and can, and can help you change your life for the positive.

Lifestyle-Related Disease is caused by Lifestyle.

Pills, pricks and procedures … do those address lifestyle?

Ingesting, injections and incisions … do they address and treat the root causes?

Lifestyle?
Nutrition awareness and education?
Activity levels vs. sedentary living?
Environment? Psychology? Physiology?

Change can be difficult and everyone has a unique story and journey… but I believe Movement Is Medicine and can be used as a catalyst to help someone change their lifestyle from the inside out and transform the areas mentioned above.

If you’re interested in changing your health DM me and we can discuss coaching and consulting options. I’m here to help.
