ASP is hosting the 4-H State Shoot this weekend. Because the park will be in use, trap and archery will not be available.

Thanks for understanding as we welcome 4-H shooters from across Minnesota.

LAST CALL! Targets for Teams is TOMORROW, September 5th!

Grab a squad, break some clays, and shoot for a great cause. Every registration puts money straight into a youth shooting team's endowment, matched dollar-for-dollar by MidwayUSA Foundation.

Whether you're a seasoned shooter or bringing the family out for the first time, this is a fun day on the range that gives back to the next generation of shooters.

Join us Saturday, September 5th at Alexandria Shooting Park for Targets for Teams, a fundraiser supporting youth shooting teams.

For $125, shoot 100 Trap or 100 Sporting Clays targets. Thanks to a generous match from the MidwayUSA Foundation, $150 will go directly into the endowment fund for the high school shooting team of your choice.

9:00 AM–3:30 PM
Open flight times, come shoot whenever works for you
Pre-registration or register on site; payment can be made the day of the event.

Awards for HOA, Top Squad, and Top Youth (Male/Female)

Grab your squad, come break some targets, and help support the next generation of shooters. It’s a great day at the range for a great cause.

Targets for Teams is THIS SATURDAY!

Two of our own members stepped up and made some custom trophies for this weekend’s shoot and they turned out pretty cool.

These aren’t something we ordered out of a catalog.

The wooden High Overall Sporting Clays and High Overall Trap trophies were handcrafted by one of our members, while the leather barrel pad awards were made by another.

There’s something pretty cool about that.

These were made by shooters, for shooters.

If you’ve been on the fence about shooting this Saturday, this is your sign.

Bring your buddy.
Build a team.
Shoot some clays.
Have some fun.

And most importantly, come be part of a great community of shooters.

While the ASP team was out at Game Unlimited catching the NSCA US Open, we couldn't pass up the chance to hand-deliver Steve Korin his 2026 Big Ole Open Championship trophy!

Congrats again, Steve and well earned!

It was great watching some of the best in the sport compete and even better getting to celebrate one of our own along the way.

The 1st Annual Big Ole Open is officially in the books.

Our first ever NSCA Registered Sporting Clays shoot at Alexandria Shooting Park, and honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better first one.

A big thank you to everyone who came out and supported it. We learned a lot, had a lot of fun, and met a bunch of great people along the way.

And congratulations to our first ever Big Ole Open Champion, Steve Korin!

We've got one more thing to do before we officially call this one done.

We're loading up the ASP team and heading to the US Open Sporting Clays shoot, and we're planning to hand-deliver Steve's trophy to him while we're there. We figured if we're going to make a trophy, we might as well make sure the guy who won it actually gets it.

We're excited about where this event can go. This was year one, and we've already got plenty of ideas for how to make the Big Ole Open bigger and better next year.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make the first one a success.

Today, history starts at ASP.

The Big Ole Open, our first-ever NSCA Registered Sporting Clays shoot is here.

We're excited to host sporting clays shooters from across the state and region for this 200 bird event.

One perpetual trophy will stay at ASP, while the other goes home with the High Overall Champion, the first name ever etched into Big Ole Open history.

Every tradition starts somewhere.

This weekend, it starts here.

You've heard us talking about sporting clays. You've seen us shooting sporting clays. You've maybe even shot sporting clays yourself. Now, we're ready to step our game up a bit.

August 7th through 9th, we'll be hosting our first-ever NSCA Registered Sporting Clays event at ASP. 200 birds, European-style. Shoot your 200 birds in one day, or split it across two, you decide.

$160 gets you the 200 targets.

This is a first for us, and we're excited to bring it to Alexandria. If you're ready to test yourself against a registered event, now's the time.

Practice Weekend Hours + Trap House Reservations

We've already had a number of teams reach out about securing practice time before the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League Championship.

ASP will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM for practice.

If your team would like to reserve a specific trap house and practice time, contact us before you arrive and we'll get you on the schedule.

• Mornings of the shoot (½ rounds): $5 per round
• During the championship: Practice rounds will be sold individually at the Rangehouse on the trap line
