Mornings at Midtown. The perfect time to finish that book between climbs, focus on your session, or get a little movement in before the day 😌

Meet John one of our new intern setters! He’s been at both gyms lately setting boulders and routes for you to give whirl. This week we are highlighting his pink problem at North that has some fun movement through nice pinches. Give it a shot next time you are at North!

Lot’s of new boulders up at Midtown! The entire setting crew got together and had a boulder party to send off one of our beloved setters, Eliana. It was a fun day with some bittersweet moments as she turns to a new chapter. Eliana will still be around though so make sure to say hi and tell her how much you miss her routes 🧗

This weekend, we lost John Laing. John has been not only a dear personal friend, but also one of Stone Age's greatest supporters. We cannot remember one competition at the gym that John did not volunteer for, not one trail building project or clean up that he was not part of. But more than anything, his frequent presence in the gym always brought so much cheer and lightness to everyone he knew - and did not know. Always ready to encourage any climber he just met or has known for many years, always supporting them when trying their best, constantly providing a good word with a smile. He was a man happy to be where he was, happy with his life, and sincerely sharing the good vibes with those around him. So we not only lost a good friend, but the loss to the climbing community will be felt for many years to come. John touched many lives while he walked the earth with us, he will continue to touch many of us in spirit. RIP, John Laing! We are lucky that your path crossed ours for so many years.

Six years on the walls at North. What started as a wild ride of opening a gym during a pandemic has turned into another bright spot in Albuquerque thanks all of your support. Every project sent, every regular who became a friend, every kiddo who topped out for the first time. Thank you, Albuquerque. Here's to year seven 🧡

You heard it here first. There's a new Yoga and Fitness schedule for both locations, with a handful of changes and additions we think you'll like.

One highlight: our new weekly Boulder Jam! A relaxed bouldering session for newer and intermediate climbers, led by one of our staff. Expect climbing tips, beta, and risk management techniques, plus the chance to meet new people in the community. It's mostly focused on our V2/V3 circuit, but climbers of all levels are welcome to join!

Take peak at the full schedule above or check it out on our website with the link in our bio!

Climb of the Week is getting a twist this time: two climbers, two climbs, and lots of fun. 🧗‍♀️🧗‍♂️ We handed our Stone Cup Decathlon sets over to coaches Sofia and Talia and had them pick climbs for each other. Just a quick warm-up, and no idea what they were walking into. Watch to see who gets sandbagged and steal all the beta you can before you try it yourself. These sets won’t be up much longer, so get into Midtown before they’re gone!
