We are a member organization for martial artists of all disciplines, styles, and levels. We are founded on the principles and ideals of Master Robert A. Hawkes.

Trias and Master James H. The association provides a venue for martial artists to come together to share ideas, further their knowledge through seminars, receive recognition of individual accomplishments, and to compete in a fair and safe environment. As a mutli-discipline, multi-style organization, we appeal to practitioners of the traditional martial arts as well as the many faceted eclectic martial arts.

Championship Spirit: A Special Reunion!** 🏈🥋
As we prepare for the 2026 USAMA World Championships this weekend in Schaumburg, we’re looking back at a highlight from last year: the reunion of Jeff Jox and his former coach, two-time Super Bowl champion Ted Peterson.
It was a privilege for our Illinois State Representative, Sensei Steve Gross, to facilitate this meeting between the former Canon-McMillan High School coach and his player. Surrounded by USAMA President Sue Hawks and Pam Jox, this moment perfectly captured the lifelong bonds formed through athletics.
We can’t wait to bring that same championship energy to the Braveheart Building this July 18–19! We look forward to seeing the entire USAMA family there.

As the Illinois State Representative for the USAMA, it is my absolute honor to extend a warm welcome to everyone traveling to Schaumburg, Illinois, for the USAMA World Championships!
We are thrilled to host such incredible talent from all over. Whether you are a competitor pushing your limits, a judge sharing your expertise, or a spectator here to witness the action, we are so glad to have you here in Illinois.
I’m looking forward to a weekend of skill, sportsmanship, and excellence. Let’s make this an unforgettable championship!

Calling all parents and supporters: Help us make the USAMA World Championships a success! 🥋
With our 2026 World Championships in Schaumburg just two weeks away, we are getting ready for an incredible weekend of competition on July 18 & 19. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we need "all hands on deck" to help us with timekeeping and scorekeeping!
Huge shout-out to Cliff Alcorn, who is a staple at our events. Whether it’s at a local Midwest League of Champions tournament or our upcoming World Championships, Cliff is always there at the table keeping things organized.
We are looking for more parents just like him to join our volunteer team. You don't need to be an expert—we just need people willing to help out for a few hours on Saturday, Sunday, or both. It’s a great way to be right in the middle of the action and support your local martial arts community.
If you can lend us a hand, please comment below or send this page a message with your availability. Let’s make this a fantastic experience for all the athletes!
