U.S. Association of Martial Artists

U.S. Association of Martial Artists We are a member organization for martial artists of all disciplines, styles, and levels. We are founded on the principles and ideals of Master Robert A. Hawkes.

Trias and Master James H. The association provides a venue for martial artists to come together to share ideas, further their knowledge through seminars, receive recognition of individual accomplishments, and to compete in a fair and safe environment. As a mutli-discipline, multi-style organization, we appeal to practitioners of the traditional martial arts as well as the many faceted eclectic martial arts.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Grandmaster Nick Adler, who left us this afternoon following a sudden medical event.

Grandmaster Adler was a highly accomplished practitioner, teacher, and ambassador of Isshinryu Karate. Through decades of dedication, he impacted countless students, instructors, and friends across the martial arts community. His knowledge, humility, and unwavering commitment to preserving and sharing Isshinryu will leave a lasting legacy that extends far beyond the dojo.

While the martial arts world has lost one of its great leaders, our hearts are especially with his family during this difficult time. Please keep his sons Rick and Chris, his daughter Pam, his daughter-in-law Laura, his grandchildren Jake, Blake, and Leah, and the entire Adler family in your thoughts and prayers.

Grandmaster Adler will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, training with him, or simply calling him a friend. His influence will continue to live on through the generations of martial artists he inspired.

Rest in peace, Grandmaster Nick Adler.
Your legacy, your teachings, and your spirit will never be forgotten.

We had a legendary surprise guest at the USAMA World Championships in Schaumburg today (Saturday)🥋 It was an honor to have former UFC and WEC veteran, Shonie "Mr. International" Carter, stop by to meet some of our competitors and officials.
Did you know Shonie is widely recognized as the innovator who brought the spinning backfist to the UFC? He famously used the move to score a spectacular knockout victory over Matt Serra at UFC 31.
The best news?
He’s coming back Sunday!
Make sure to stop by and say hello to a true martial arts icon. See you there! 👊
